SPO shot dead in Sopore

SRINAGAR

Suspected militants shot and killed a Special Police Officer (SPO) in Sopore town of north Kashmir on Sunday morning.

Mudasir Ahmed Dar son of Gulzar Ahmad Dar 24 was shot by the militants at Unto Hamam area in Sopore town at around 9:50 AM, resulting in his on spot death, a police officer said.

Police added the deceased was working as an SPO in the police department. Mudassir was a resident of Chanekhun of the same town. Mudassir was deployed in police station Sopore but on Sunday morning he was at his residence.
