What's new

Turkey is preparing to buy/make an aircraft carrier!

There must be,but if you have those Anti Submarine Destroyers or Frigates it shouldnt be needed.
Maybe Neptune can inform us?

Depends on how you want to use your carrier. American carriers are escorted by huge filotillas, because they are in combat far away from their homeports. Meanwhile Italy uses its carriers to establish naval superiority over its shores, so they don't need huge filotillas to escort them. For example Spanish carrier groups only consist some auxilary ships and frigates. Its all about the doctrines of the navies.

Italian ecole is currently the best option for Turkey.

Even if Sedef wins I don't think the ship will be built with a ramp :)

You know Turkish navy isn't limited with Mediterranean, She'll come and go to Somalia, Indian Ocean and so on. There will be escorting frigates and corvettes all the time. Most importantly and most certainly there will be a TF2000 type of air defence frigate escorting her because there won't be any fixed-wing aircraft stationed on the LHD.
