Turkish businessmen must become martyrs, columnist says
  • Dec 16 2021 11:47 Gmt+3
  • Last Updated On: Dec 16 2021 11:50 Gmt+3
Turkey’s businessmen should sacrifice their profits for at least three months and be rewarded with martyr status in return for saving the country from its economic difficulties, said Necmettin Batırel, a columnist on the economy for pro-government newspaper Türkiye.

Businessmen should slash their prices by 50 percent and “have their names written in golden letters on a list of economic heroes”, just like those who successfully fought against a military coup attempt in 2016, said Batırel, who frequently appears on television to comment on economic developments.

“The pandemic came to our rescue. The global economic picture has changed. China is out of the supply chain, Turkey has taken its place. Conditions are ripe for transitioning to the new economic model,” Batırel said.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has ordered the central bank to cut interest rates even as inflation accelerated as part of an economic “war of independence” to boost exports and economic growth. The lira has weakened to successive record lows and inflation has accelerated to 21.3 percent, raising concerns for an full-blown financial and economic crisis.

Those who complain that inflation in Turkey is at three-year highs should look to the United States and Europe, where interest rates are less than 1 percent or negative despite an record inflation, Batırel said.

He said new legislation designed to prevent businessmen from illegally hoarding goods would deal with “price terrorists”.

Every single day it is getting more ridiculous....

Without any exceptions, all the threads opened by this account are websites that run the major anti-Turkey campaign. That's okay, we are not Iran, We are happy to discuss them in any environment where there is mutual respect.. But these threads are not used for discussion, but for a post-truth bombardment, he(or they?) using just the news headlines. We can't argue because similar titles are opened over and over every day. Thus, a vicious circle is created by spamming the forum effectively.

This trollaccount is probably a sub-account of one of the obsessive members here, or maybe it was just created to be used for psyop studies about Turkey. I dunno but even if he's using a VPN, a site administrator can detect this, by doing some simple steps.. If you look at the message history, you will see that he only opened copy/paste titles and could not speak even a sentence in English, maybe for not to reveal his typos/style.

As an extension of this form of attack, When you analyze these threads more, you see other 'auxiliary' accounts in sub-messages that go off-topic even in off-topic threads and write things in line with their own political agenda, and again, I'm afraid the majority of them are Iranian again :( .Direct insults to forum members, or more generally insults to the Turkish nation, animal descriptions to Turkish state authorities and institutions, to people in charge; even racist statements containing pure hate speech...

Sadly, these have become everyday events that even forum Mods no longer care about. It is not possible to define this hatred among Iranians. Even on such an ordinary platform, their pursuit of organized evil is not a state of mind that can be defined. The middle-income class is disappearing in Iran, the minimum wage earners are on the verge of starvation, the banking system is not working anyway. The state has now had to intervene in the market and fix the exchange-rate, but the problem is that you can't find dollars, the numbers on the black market are unbelievably higher than the central bank rates. Even the central parts of the country have difficulties in accessing water and the country has a terrible water problem. I'm asking sincerely, dear Mods, have you ever seen a Turk who, without any provocation, quits all his work and opens a lot of threads here every day about these? There are dozens of people and organizations dedicated to this work on twitter and on the internet, and believe me, using them for a post-truth bombardment here with their method is something even a 7-year-old can do.

Anyway, I wrote these because I am now waiting for a reply from forum Mods, at least a word. As a Turkish member here, I think that I have the right to demand this on a platform where almost 10-15% of the daily content of the forum has directly or indirectly Turkish-related content. My question is: Is this all normal? Do they comply with PDF admin policy and forum rules? Yes or no? If the answer is yes, let's act accordingly, if the answer is no, what is keeping you from taking action?

I need an answer. No more pretending to be blind, please.
@WebMaster @krash @LeGenD @Foxtrot Alpha @waz

You destroyed the Turkish community here for nothing. But you don't even look back at these activities, which are completely deliberate acts, organized and eroding the ethical framework that is the founding principles of this forum..

At least, by limiting the right of this account to open a thread daily, you should contribute that all these collection of copy paste contents could shared under common thread. Thus could be create an environment where these claims can be discussed and those who want to reply can be answered, If all are wanted to preventing the PDF forum from being turned into pawn in post-truth/psyop works.

@WebMaster @krash @LeGenD @Foxtrot Alpha @waz

This particular account is now banned from posting these threads. You're right there is a pattern.
Can you tag me please next time.

What really caught my attention is this: An Iranian troll opens nearly 100 topics about the Turkish economy and social issues in just months, all of which are completely outside the scope of the PDF forum. https://defence.pk/pdf/search/52564852/

Even I thought it was a bit annoying. It's like a daily anti-Turkish propaganda.

i think he is anti erdogan not anti turkey
