Exocets have kill switches …

Why would anyone pay a penny for a missile which does not works in war time

Well right now Russians are being killed by their own Soviet weapons.

If the opportunity arose to add in some kind of backdoor to foreign sold missiles (monkey version) I'm sure governments would think about it.

Agreed, but rest assured all modern weapons systems, regardless of origin, have similar "features".
Exactly every missile, even our own have kill switches, just incase the missiles goes haywire

And not just missiles, either. I have posted on the topic on PDF in detail years ago, when I used to post actively.
 
Punching a simple hole into any warship normally is enough to force it to stop combat operations and extricate to safely.
Moreover, doctrine calls for a atleast two, possibly a Salvo to be fired at a single target, to cater for its size, CIWS etc.

That is why I have always recommended the JH7A which can carry 2 heavy ASHM's.
