14 fighter jets, including fourth-generation Su-27SM's and Su-30's, are scheduled to land in Crimea’s Belbek military air base, set to station Russia’s modernized air forces.
MOSCOW, November 26 (Sputnik) — 14 fighter jets are scheduled to land in Crimea’s Belbek military air base, Capt. 1st Rank Vyacheslav Trukhachev, a spokesman for Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, told RIA Novosti.
The fighter jets are comprised of ten upgraded Su-27SM's and four Su-30's. All of them are fourth-generation fighter jets. Four of the aircraft deployed in Crimea are newly manufactured, according to Trukhachev.

This Sukhoi Su-27 SM Flanker fighter will serve with the 62nd Fighter Regiment of the 27th Combined Air Division of the Russian Air Force at Belbek airfield near Sevastopol.
“Ten aircraft have clocked flight hours, are maintained in good condition and will now perform tasks in the sky above Crimea. They arrive under the program of deployment of a full-fledged formation of Russia’s Armed Forces,” said the spokesman.
The majority of Sevastopol residents have never seen such aircraft and are likely to notice them, Trukhachev added.
Earlier it was reported that Belbek airfield will be renovated to station Russia’s modernized air forces.

Russia's MiG-31 Fighter Force to Get $630 Million Upgrade
Russia's Defense Ministry has signed a 30 billion ruble ($630 million) contract with a major state-owned aircraft manufacturer to modernize over 50 of its high-speed MiG-31 interceptor jets, the RIA Novosti news agency reported.
The move comes amid a 20 trillion ruble ($500 billion) ongoing state rearmament program and rising tensions over Ukraine that have seen Russian jets repeatedly test the boundaries of NATO airspace in recent months.
"The armed forces will receive over 50 modernized MiG-31s by the end of 2018," RIA quoted Deputy Defense Minister Yury Borisov as saying Thursday. The modernization will be carried out by Russia's largest aircraft manufacturer, United Aircraft Corporation.
The MiG-31 is a classic Soviet aircraft. Designed in the 1970s as a follow on to the MiG-25 supersonic interceptor jet, the plane is a supersonic bomber killer.
Around 120 of the fighters remain in service today, RIA reported.
The aircraft can fly to altitudes of 20,000 meters and reach a maximum speed of Mach 2.83 (3,000 kilometers an hour), making it an ideal defensive fighter. If Russia were to detect foreign reconnaissance or bomber planes entering its airspace, the MiG-31 could quickly chase down and destroy them before their targets are reached.
Modernized MiG-31s are outfitted with new avionics and fire control systems, and can simultaneously fire on six targets within a 280-kilometer radius.
The U.S. and most other Western air forces phased out dedicated bomber interceptors by the time the MiG-31 entered service in 1975, as the focus of Soviet nuclear strategy focused on ballistic missiles. However, the Soviets saw continued need to operate fighters capable of dealing with the comparatively massive U.S. strategic bomber fleet in the event of nuclear conflict.
Russia has already modernized around 20 MiG-31s, according to media reports. A separate contract to modernize 60 of the aircraft by 2020 was signed with United Aircraft Corporation in 2011, RIA reported.

With such configuration of weapons those aircrafts can't fly at supersonic speed

I know but that configuration for land attack I have never seen a picture of the mig-29 with such payload whiloe it suppose to be close air support unless you Russians use for air superiority while it is not that suphesticated to be.With such configuration of weapons those aircrafts can't fly at supersonic speed

Mig-29 was designed as a fighter&interceptor and the role of aircrafts of close air-support had fighters-bombers like a Mig-27, Mig-23, Su-24, Su-25, etc. So Mig-29 had the different role in the air-force.
As for today, close air-support aircrafts is a Su-34, Su-25, Su-24 - and ofc new Mig-29K\Mig-35 which is capable to use laser\GLONASS guided bombs, anti-ship and anti-radiation missiles.
