Sri Lankan CG hands over two cheques for earthquake affectees
KARACHI, Oct 27 (APP): The Consul General of Sri Lanka in Karachi, Ms. De Silva handed over two cheques to the Senior Sindh Minister, Syed Sardar Ahmed for the earthquake affected areas.
An official statement said that a cheque of Rs 100,000 was given on behalf of a bank and another cheque of Rs. 50,000 on behalf of a company.
It said that the ceremony to this effect was held at the office of the senior Sindh Minister.
The Sri Lankan Consul General expressed deep sorrow and grief at the huge loss of lives and property in the wake of October 8 earthquake
