MODP Year books
for Year 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 have not been released yet But we can Still estimate production based on previous two years.

Pakistan Army as of 2 years ago had.

45 Al-Khalid-1s Between last two Years we could have built 32-40 more along with 324 Al-Khalids we probably now have 400-410 AK/AK1s.

511 Al-Zarrars.
282 Type-85UPG
Half have been upgraded Rest of will be by 2022.
320 T-80UDs.
Between AKs, AZs, T-85s and T-80UDs PA has 1522 MBTs that can take on anything Gangus can throw at them. There are still some 800 or so T-59s and T-69s which are still lethal machines in good hands but they have their Limitations.

Take these Numbers just as Guesses because MODP Year Books Pre 2008 are not available.

Money is the issue sir unfortunately

UD upgrade never entered production phase. Just 4 mbts were upgraded when the program ran into trouble.
bro try to reconfirm the status as it seems upgrade/rebuild of first four UD were successful and accepted by PA, now HIT is in process to initiate upgrades/rebuilt of another batch 24 more UDs .....

In NCW environment good synchronization of systems, good tactics and well trained crew can take on bigger for.

what does the Type-85UPG entail? new engine? FCS? etc? i thought they are already on par with AZ

There are total 282 T85 IIAP in Pakistan arsenal. And as far as I know,

There is no such thing as "Type 85 UPG".
T85 IIAP tanks are getting an overhaul, not a comprehensive upgrade.
Roughly 25% of T85 IIAP are already overhauled and are deployed in Sindh. Process is underway.

The following snap is one year old and is of freshly overhauled T85 IIAP standing in HIT

Good thread, btw weren't there 500+ AZs?
Different sources different claims. 560+ AZ exists if we assume that 74 T59 were converted into AZ last year.

The production of 220× AK-1 is scheduled to finish in 2022 with HIT approaching the halfway mark. The process is being expedited since a new Mechanized Division is coming up at Pano Aqil.
If AK1 are going to couple with VCC1 to form a new mechanized division in Pano Aqil instead of replacing outdated T59/69, then its bye bye to VT4....
