Pakistan to build a Nuclear submarine

After a warning...yes. But in Indo-Pak scenario or Sino-Japanese scenario it will lead to escalation. Submariners have a set of rules to follow....if followed then you cant sink them.

what set of rules? also can the said sub be captured and never released? and pardon me for derailing the thread

Pakistan has the experience in building submarines Augusta 90 French designed conventional subs. Pakistan can move to a higher level in designing and building nuclear subs -the program must start now as it may take 9 to 10 years. Pakistan also has an advantage by having friendly exchange of relations with China in the military field and thus can expect some help. The nuclear sub can act as a deterent to unfriendly move by countries towards Pakistan.

Germans didn't allow us to integrate Babur's to be fired from its torpedo tubes,so the deal is off. Saudi navy can get Uboats, they are the best in the world.

Just keep these bumers off from our diplomatic tail, for another 5-10 years,we'll get you a sub. :D

You think so? :D let's hope this will turn true. I would love seeing it at the hand of our both navies.

Pakistan doesn't need to buy 6 Qing SSKs, but it only needs the blueprint of the Qing class, and the diesel engine of the Qing class will be replaced by the nuclear power plant.

PN should also acquire some DDG Destroyers.

I think PN needs to do JV with Gemrans and they should try to invite KSA, Jordan, Oman and UAE along with on three types of submarines:
Heavy SSK (U216)
Medium/Coastal SSK
Special Opps Submarines
