It means fight those that fight you and take your right (haq).

As far as I'm concerned Afghans have never attacked anyone for all of their existence, but have always fought back. In other words they have every right to defend themselves.

What you've mentioned above is definitely applicable in some scenarios but cannot be generalized to wage war against certain sect or country.

Unfortunately it's happening around the world. e.g. people setting off bombs in Pakistan and all over world..what haq they are fighting for and killinng innocent people (Allah's creation)? Isn't it a sin?

NATO is not there to conquer Afghanistan. They went there to avenge 9/11 and they did, They killed OBL, they shoot into his head. NATO is planning to give control to Afghan ANA. by next 2 years NATO will leave Afgan and ANA will take charge of Afghanistan.

Sometimes I wonder whether some people really deserve the kind of freedoms and rights that the rest of the developed world has come to take for granted. Some people who are mired in medieval tribal traditions, some people who refuse to accept change and prosper, some people who follow and stick to fundamentalist/rigid interpretation of religious teachings, some people who have scant regard for human lives - their own and that of others, irrespective of religion, gender, race etc. Such people should be left to rot and suffer in the scum of their own creation - The Taliban!
