Considering the rebellious attitudes of some Uighurs, they are lucky that Islam is not restricted even more.

Whenever political Islam forces try to destabilise a country, as has happened in Xinjiang, it has invited repression and oppression of Islam by the govt. That is only natural.

The same thing happened in Egypt, Syria, Uzbekistan and other places.

You cant expect radicals and rebels to be garlanded and feted by the power that be. This radicalism is a danger to Islam, as it gives a pretext to govts to suppress the legitimate rights of muslims. If we want peace, we need to root out these types of people.

Some of our Indian friends seem to have the "zeal of the convert" when it comes to irrational thinking about our and Their neighbor, China -- while the ideas of the neocon movment of the US are being repudiated, our Indian friends display attitudes that seem innocent of this development.

In the near future, it is cooperation with it's neighbor, China, that will be important, not exhausted alien powers who have no vision other than saving their exit route by using Asians against each other.

Zeal of the convert – LOL then you are referring to the source of irrational thinking and we all know who are converts because your blindness towards the facts reflects irrationality of your perspective . the source or the link provided here s not American or Indian but an Islamic site

This is not about relationship of two nations .. it is about suppressing the religious belief of a group in China . if you think that relationships has to be made at the cost of ignoring human rights then my friend you need to rethink about ability of self introspection ..

Blindness from facts is the sign of immaturity . Unlike few countries Media is not a slave of Government and they report all the various perspective in a society .
If it is backed with facts then you shall have maturity to accept that . if you dnt agree with it please show the contradiction in these facts

The freedom movement in Kashmir has nothing to do with Islam, or political Islam. It is a legitimate freedom struggle, a struggle for the fundamental Human Right of Self-Determination, a corner stone of the UN Charter.

The earliest groups to fight for independance included the JKLF. No one could accuse them of being lovers of Islam. Some thought they were god-less communists. Yet, they did more to influence young people's attitudes about Freedom, then any of the later islamic groups including HM.

No need to get too excited. My views should not give you solace.

People who are prone to bigotry and xenophobia, will always find some evil and distorted rationale for their behaviour. One can never truly justify, the unjustifiable.
