On June 24, 1965, a Toofani (IC698), nickname given to Dassault MD-450 Ouragan in #India violated the Pakistani border. A pair of F-104s take off to intercept the intruder, which is forced to land in Pakistan.

he pilot, Lieutenant Rana Lal Chand Sikkawew, would return to India sometime later, but the device was requisitioned and preserved at Peshawar Airbase as a war trophy.

Indian Air Force Vampires were forced out of fight on the very first day of September, 1965 war when PAF F-86 Sabres shot down 04 Vampire Jets.
