LAHORE: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has so far transported 803 tonnes of relief goods to Pakistan from international stations on scheduled and nine chartered flights and 328 tonnes of domestic relief goods on scheduled Karachi-Islamabad flights, said a PIA spokesperson.

The spokesperson said PIA has been operating five AN 12 freighter flights carrying 85 tonnes of relief goods on the Karachi-Islamabad sector and has established special cells at Karachi and Islamabad airports with additional manpower working round the clock. “The coordination team at the PIA’s head office is available 24/7 by telephone,” the spokesperson added. staff report
