Chinese President Xi Jinping meets with DPRK leader in Beijing

View attachment 462057

I am very amazed at China's proactive diplomacy this time.

Silent, result-oriented and efficient. In fact, it has always been so. But, this time, this provides an amazing comparative case analysis vis-a-vis the loud and banging to the ear Dotard regime.

@Cybernetics , for some reason, the last two images are not displayed on my screen.
What a surprise. Who is the girl on the left?

Looks like the appointment of John Bolton as National Security Adviser prompted Xi to yank the Kim leash.

What a surprise. Who is the girl on the left?

I have no idea. This is the list of the people accompanied him according to People's Daily:

《Choe Ryong Hae, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee and director of the Organization and Guidance Department; Pak Kwang Ho, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee and director of the Propaganda and Agitation Department; Ri Su Yong, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee and director of the International Department; Kim Yong Chol, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee and director of the United Front Department and Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, accompanied Kim Jong Un on his China tour and attended related activities.》

That is Kim Jong Un's wife Ri Sol Ju. It is said that out of all the Kims, Kim Jung Un looks the most like Kim Il Sung and Ri Sol Ju somewhat resembles Kim Jong Un's grandma or Kim Il Sung's wife, possibly a reason why she was chosen.

Young Kim Il Sung, Kim Jung Un's resemblance with his grandfather is striking.

Kim is not too stupid to believe you.

DPRK is with China
As it turned out, China notified US that Kim was coming to see Xi. Or more likely, Xi informed Trump that Xi pulled in Kim's leash.

Maybe Xi convey the message of China in full approval of the meeting between Trump and Kim to denuclearize the Korea peninsula and if US plan to attack NK then China wholeheartedly defend NK till the last breath. No one know what in between the meeting of a I and Kim, for the fact Kim meet Xi before Trump meeting can only suggest the utmost priority for Kim and NK security is through China.

You can spin it any way you like. The bottom line is that whether it is thru US or China, as long as NKR is nuclear disarmed -- we win.

Didn’t China always said China in favor of talk to denuclearize Korea peninsula through consultation and negotiations with all the nations involved? Kim meet Xi prove China is always a key player in the denuclearization of Korea peninsula.

Good, I hope that this is the start of the DPRK becoming more opened to the countries like China, Russia and even Iran, they can only benefit from it.It's a chance to strike a deal with the "dealmaker Trump" and abandon the foolish sanctions against the country.

I agree. I do hope the normalization of Korea under China's tutelage and guidance will start soon so that the country could mobilize its productive forces and leave SP12 further behind in human development, joining, as a first order, SEA's developing countries.

This is apparently the outcome of recent chapter of crises between the US and DPRK which was about to turn ugly [for the Korean peninsula]. Unlike its predecessors, Trump administration was willing to settle this matter cowboy style and the pressure seems to be working.

A complete 180 degree turn in the politics of Kim Jong-Un; a sound move. This is a golden opportunity for Kim to create a window for transforming DPRK into a prosperous country but this would never happen in isolation and with economy-crippling sanctions in effect.

If DPRK is to denuclearize then Kim would desire assurances for safety - China can deliver in this matter.

"Ate grass" to get those ICBMS & Nukes - All tested and ready to go. Dump them into SCS after all that? Kim can choose better locations if push comes to shove - Stop listening to Trump. Time to move and live with NC - NK.

That could have been acheived in the beginning, that rough ride is almost over.
