It's a sad reflection of how far we've fallen as human beings when we are playing politics over the plight of those suffering from this natural disaster. It seems that lessons of the past 60 years have not been enough for us.

I hope we wake up before its too late.

Personally I think we should accept the Indian offer with thanks and appreciate the gesture.

Yeah you are going to sent it anyways just like you sent terrorists to Pakistan anyways. ;)

We don't need these 5 millions. Take them and use them to bribe Naxals to not to attack more Broiler Mughas in your country.

:)

Nobody is dying to offer you $5 million.

It was just a courtesy call.

Keep shut, That Money is NOT FOR YOU!!!!! Its for affected people in Pakistan. Level of trust my arse, go and measure the level of water first.

You know i can reply to you in kind you moron, but then again it wont be of use since i cant drag myself to your level. Post reported.

I don't mind they accept or not. Even don't mind whether there people like it or not.

What mind is that India took initiative to offer it to Pakistan in such a time. We are late but things are not over.

5$ Million is nothing. Our politician eat away billions, so we care only about those billions here.

What happiness we would have got with this 5$ Million is that this money could have been used at least for someone those need rather than going to our politicians pocket.

So, Friend in Need is Friend Indeed.

Moreover, India is no rich country. It has 50% of worlds poor. So, we even need to give them food but as we know it will never reach. But we Indian hope, that 5$ Million will do reach to common suffering person through UN.

So after all this primeval chest thumping -- what is the conclusion ?

Is India sending the aid ? And is the Pakistan receiving the aid ?

What are the respective governments views ?

Why govt. of Pakistan is playing cheap politics???

Why are they playing with the life of flood victims??????

Playing or not, its still none of your concern. I am amazed at you Indians. What do you expect, that whatever you say and whenever you say, we say ji sarkar app ka he intezaar tha. Do i need to remind you that just a year ago Indians were desperate of Pakistani blood, so what changed now, as per your government nothing, so why all this wanna be stuff going on here. I dont speak for GOP but as a Pakistani i can assue you Pakistanis would want nothing out of anything coming out from India specially aid.

Already sent..

Why not send in aid without getting GoP permission?

And how do you suppose that is going to happen, and even if it is, dont you get it by now, its not the aid which concerns India, its the PR they are interested in. Cheap publicity stunt as many Indians are already doing here.:disagree:

Exactly if India wants to it can send in goods to the charities and NGO's already doing the work there. It doesn't HAVE to transfer cash into Pakistan's National treasury, unless it specifically wants to do just that for obvious reasons of superiority show...

Send canned food of $5 Mn to our bezerk, and he'll ensure those goods go to the correct place better than giving it to Zardari.

India won't probably get any major point scoring in that way though.

OMG ... you guys have India-phobia!!!

India's aid to flood victims is an act of good will .... and since the priority of the flood victims comes first and considering there are no obligations on Pakistan to receive the aid ... why are they delaying it?

Are they afraid that India will be shown in good light? The Government of Pakistan doesn't want its citizens to get exposed to anything good about it's neighbor?

If you're so concerned about giving aid, just send goods worth the amount through regular channels, you don't need Pakistan government's permission for it.

which other country is doing that e.g. ? my guess is that governments deal with governments. a government isn't going to slip aid anonymously to an ngo. probably doesn't work that way as a matter of practice.

in case its a common practice, i'd be surprised and enlightened at the same time.

even if the GoI did this, all it would do would be to put that NGO under the scanner due to the lack of trust and lead to major pakistani media defamation of such an NGO.

Ya I wish the Indian Government does that. Don't know why it didn't consider that option. I hope they send medicines and food supplies to the people over there.
They can even give it to UN, which can do a better work!
