Former MNA Ali Raza Abidi shot dead in Karachi

Yes PTI has no authority in Karachi and don't know why PM Imran seeks report over killing of Ali raza abidi and why said that law and order situation in Karachi is top priority of PTIs government. They probably don't know that they have no authority over it

As PM of the country he can order inquiry and report. But that's it. All matters of the city are under provincial government per 18th amendment.

Real authority with regard to law and order still lay with the federal government and the provincial governments were still required to follow the centre. Its joint federal-provincial responsibility under 18th amendment

watch at least what your interior minister said

Afridi says wrong to assume govt has no authority after 18th Amendment

KARACHI: Minister for State on Interior Shehryar Afridi on Monday said that protecting the life and property of citizens is the responsibility of the state and there will be no compromise on national security.

“Protecting the lives and properties of citizens is the responsibility of the state. There were be no compromise of national sovereignty,” he said, while addressing at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce.

“The federal government will respect the voter who elected them. It cannot be said that we have no authority after the 18th Amendment,” said the state minister.

PPP's got its hands full with Zardari's pending cases doubt they would be responsible for this heinous crime. MQM could have done it through its proxies, yes. They'd take money from anyone these days since MQM london is broke.

Now let's talk about our COAS because he gave a sermon inside a church on Christmas today. His message was that of Pakistan being a role model for how it treats its minorities. This act will clearly make headlines that if Shia's aren't safe in Pakistan then how will Sikhs/Chirstians/Hindus..... the ride never ends as it seems.
Stop bringing SHIA thing every where and now even SHIAS I have talked to are fed up of this. It has nothing to do with him being SHIA this is either Altaf or PSP at work.

PTI got mandate in Karachi so its their responsibility to fix law and order situation because as per ali mohhamd claim( when he was in opposition) whenever innocent get killed in Pakistan then Hukamraan( ruling elite) should be responsible for his deaths because its their responsibilities to protect the life of their citizens ..when such high profile can be killed like insect then what will be situation of ordinary citizen

That would have been true had Karachi had its own govt, sadly Karachi comes under Sindh and the govt of Sindh is responsible for law and order. PTI tried to fix the water issues of Karachi and CM Sindh reminded them to stay with in the constitutional role.

It is our failure that target killers are freely moving in karachi gains of operation are on brink of reversal

Hmm...this is something that worries me.In addition to that it seems clearly quick move by foreign elements to stir up secto-political tension in the city. Also, please note that Karachi was decorated with banners thanking military for restoring law and order situation in Karachi.
Regards
Terrorism will continue in Pakistan albeit very weak and less frequent until the enemy is given the taste of its own medicine right into its heart.

those who are bringing shia factor are totally clueless about Karachi politics. His elder brother was also gun downed in 90's and his family for a time being escaped to US. All these MQMers, under name of MQM london/pakistan/PSPs are crooks basically and still have links with target killers. We all know MQM has a history of not sparing their own people upon difference of opinion. They will keep targeting each other with time to time.My suspicion is on PSP revenge attack.

Agreed, also could be in response to ISPR's night street-cricket portraying an image of peace and prosperity in Karachi; the "City of Lights" - This was also a deliberate move to embarrass our security forces and XMAS was selected to cause maximum damage to our global-peace outreach. RAW's desperate to salvage its imminent defeat; best we hang yadav sooner than later.
This is real alarming. These terrorists are highly trained. In just 10 seconds they execute the whole action. With this level of accuracy and implementation, fingers will get straight towards army.

Efficiency which the killers showed, can only come from very high level of training. Killing of a vocal anti-establishment politician, coming from a minority sect is disturbing to say the least.

He was one of the few sensible politicians from Karachi and would have given tough fight to dear leader in next election.

@VCheng, seems like Establishment has got rid of another thorn in their side. He was vehemently anti-establishment.

And then they say Pakistan is safe for minorities. I'd rather be a Muslim in India than a non-Sunni in Pakistan.

It would be wrong to say something like this at this early stage without a proper investigation or proof.

Facts hardly ever come out.

We'll see but it's highly unlikely to happen

Establishing facts must be the first thing if such serious accusations are to be made. If that is not possible, then one must remain open-minded without assigning blame to any particular quarter since it is easy to blame those we already have decided to blame.

Let's see.

But as someone who was living in Karachi until very recently, nothing happens here without Ranger's permission.
