Captain Marvel continues to defy those that trolled it on social media and Rotten Tomatoes by dominating the competition at the global box office. After scoring the second best second weekend in March ever, the Marvel Studios movie has sailed past $760 million worldwide and will cross the $800 million mark in a matter of days.

Analysts believe that it will indeed hit $1 billion, but that could now take at least another week or two as the Brie Larson-led release finally debuted in Japan on Friday (it opened in every other market during its first weekend of release).

It is an okay movie but not the best Marvel movie out there. Personally I think Brie Larson's performance was sort of sup-par and her acting awkward sort of but overall it wasn't bad. You could chalk that up to the direction directors gave to her during filming but to each their own.

Captain Marvel was always going to make a ton of money though. Superhero movies are such uber cash-cows it's insane...

#1 movie of 2019 in less than 12 days.
WOW! So much for all the "Wandering Earth" talk for $692M after almost 2 months.

I would say it just adds much complication to already setup stories, i could give you spoilers if you want it.
But you can skip it if you want to since most of focus is on character not on Avengers:Endgame.

THanx buddy to guide  as u know its not released in Pakistan and real fun is watching in cinema only

It’s not a great movie. Simple one and can be boring as well at times. The only purpose seems to be to intro Captain Marvel. U know she is kinda superman (now u can avoid watching it for Avengers endgame).

Not many good movies around.

Did someone hear that it need 750 million dollars just to break even?

You shall thank CCP never ban the movie in China. :enjoy:

LOL! After a month and a half we'll see how many hundreds of millions it makes at the theaters MORE than Wandering Earth AFTER we subtract out China's contributions. :enjoy:

Right now at 12 days that's $760M - $104M = $656M without China.
