Sky Sports Poll: Should Pakistan be Banned from International Cricket?

Nopes, They cheated in Sydney test match, but nothing to do with racism. Bret Lee has been to India more than 35 times. Hayden, Gilly, S Waugh all love India.

Sachin got standing ovation in Australia, New Zealand. He was booed, that too in Mumbai, his home town.

You are not being fair, I pitty you :D

Pakistan has been terribly ill served by those running the PCB. The PCB chairman has managed to antagonise pretty much everyone. Does not matter if Pakistan is officially banned or not.Pakistan is soon running out of places where they will be welcomed.

Without prejudging the case against the players, PCB could have shown far more maturity while dealing with the accusations. PCB should have withdrawn the players on its own while holding out for proof rather than throw wild accusations at everyone else. Once PCB went down that route, there was nowhere to go but down. Burning bridges with ECB as has been done now only guarantees no further invites to play there. The matter should have been handled diplomatically. Pakistan cricket is far more important to risk it all on some players who may or may not be guilty of spot fixing.

Btw, whether it is your cricket or our CWG, there is little point in shooting the messengers. If the English were racist, they were so even before the incident.

Ejaz Butt was a bad pick. Unfortunately, allegations against Pakistani players have been leveled regardless of who was at the helm of the PCB. These allegations have also fallen flat on their face when subjected to a serious investigation.

My god, even a thread about cricket is being used to flame these days. It was one place where members usually got along well. Shows the amount of hostility people harbour for each other.

Anyway, I don't think the Pakistan team should be abnned. All the 'allegations' are under investigtion, and if the players are found guilty only they should be banned, not the whole team. When the Hansie Cronje corruption scandal erupted, no one wanted to ban South Africa. When Azharuddin and Jadeja were found guilty, only they were banned, not the Indian team. Then why should we ban the whole Pakistani team for the (alleged) crimes of a few?

As for IPL, so far ICC has given it a clean chit, as have the rest of the world. so lets not drag that in here. It doesn't serve any purpose, aside from being flamebait

No.....no....never! will ban them from International cricket for good (if found guilty)

But will not ban Pakistan team either as it would be injustice with rest of the players and the whole cricket loving nation Pakistan

The players who are found guilty should be banned and concrete steps should be taken to stop these kind of things in future.
If found guilty no banning them will be injustice.

The PCB chairmen has no reason to behave like a buffoon. He should have been aware that he was treading on some thin ice. Look, I don't think the Indian board handles itself any better most of the time. The Harbajan-Symonds issue was one such. Unlike what you have mentioned, the fault more likely lay with Harbajan who was accused of calling Symonds a monkey. The Indian board used muscle to muzzle the issue, something that I don't approve of. However the Indian board has serious muscle to be able to flex it. Pakistan does not. What they needed were cool heads(not sure you would qualify:P), someone who made all the right noises but gave away nothing. Once he went ballistic( & with no small help from your high commissioner), Pakistan was on a one way trip to nowhere. Between your High commissioner & the PCB chairman, you guys have pretty much antagonised everybody. How does that serve the interest of Pakistani cricket?

Yeah now the trollers are gone and sensible indians are commenting, newbie indian members should learn from their seniors.

keep voting no guyz.....good to see no % is gradually being improved......

Why should PAK be banned? so far nothing have been proved against PAK players & investigations are underway, so on what basis are u demanding BAN on PAK...
No one demanded the same
When Cronje(late) was found guilty of match fixing?
Aussies players admitted taking money from bookies?
Why all this HOo Haa now.....

PCB ignored warning signs, claims minister-The Express Tribune

ISLAMABAD: Sports Minister Ijaz Jakharani claimed in the National Assembly on Tuesday that he had raised the issue of a relationship between players and bookies with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) when an Urdu-language newspaper broke a story about it, but the board insisted that “there was nothing wrong”.

The PCB is reported to have believed that the Majeed brothers were acting as “agents” for some players, who were looking for sponsorship deals.

“It was almost a month before the News of The World came out with the documentary evidence,” Jakharani said. The minister also warned the PCB of strict action if it was proved that the board’s negligence resulted in the scandal.

The top management of the PCB was accused of being aware of the “years-old” links between cricketers facing spot-fixing allegations and London-based bookies. The PCB knew that Mazhar Majeed and his brother had access to the players’ hotels and the Pakistan team’s dressing room during their foreign trips, said the minister.

Jakharani was speaking in response to a call-attention notice raised by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) members.

Mazhar was caught on camera by the British tabloid, News of The World, explaining how he gave Pakistani players ‘spot-fixing’ directions during their last Test match against England.

The minister said that the government would take severe action against the cricketers if their culpability was established.

Members belonging to the PML-N questioned the “integrity and honesty” of officials running the PCB, including its chairman Ijaz Butt, and urged President Asif Ali Zardari to remove him.

Another NA member belonging to the PML-N, Shireen Arshad Khan, suggested that the government should ask cricketers to submit statements about their assets.

“[The players] get paid huge amounts,” Khan said, adding that the government should make sure their assets correspond with their known income. However, the minister did not respond to this proposal.

Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi, who was chairing the session, ordered the government to share the preliminary report by the Scotland Yard with the house as well as the one sent to the president by Pakistan’s high commissioner to the UK, Wajid Shamsul Hassan.

Jakharani said the draft of the PCB’s constitution is almost ready and will be sent to the law ministry for vetting.

i think pakistan should stay away because all the biasness and racism emerging, the ICC and the cricket govning bodies r not fair to a talented nation pakistan, we should leave the cricket for germs like indians ans aussies, i think, srilanka, bangladesh, westindies and zimbabwe should back off too, let these few teams fight one another, esp let ugly black bharatis alone with with rest of the whites, we can say good bye to them and let them fight goras alone.. we know without a strong asian blog, bharatis would be very weak with whites.
