What's new

What went wrong for the Government?

It's not a joke nor fantasy. This is truly your only solution. Look at the situation from all variables. There is generally nothing else to do except following the path of the money that is the only way.

Look around you and also read history how do you think these ancient wealthy nations became wealthy?

You either fold on your own knife or you charge forward and go have an amazing ride

To me it appears fantasy. I thought, you were joking. But, if you are seriously proposing it as a practicable and achievable solution; then all my good wishes are with you. What else, I can say?

I am not proposing this idea for the short-term future but long-term future when things become unsustainable that is the solulation. You inherit the weaker once and push them aside and in all honesty there is no benefit in them to begin with. Take it it's yours.

Lool would you just let Pakistan fold on it's economy and just die like that? You are truly not a patriot. That is actully the moment Pakistan will be born and rise from the ashes and rise beyond belief. When you have nothing to lose you charge forward to survive. Annexing whatever you can put on your hands.

I believe the economy situation in pakistan is blessings in disguise

such behavior of govt will convert Pakistan in to Syria, here people will play in hands of foreign agency for money if poverty exceeds limit and poor public is forced to pay taxes beyond their means and may result in 1971 like situation
Its not gonna happen.

Let the government do their job.I personally think that gov must speed up and double time the process of tracking down laundered money and bring it back by all means asap.

The difference is Zardari cabinet is now halal. Lotas (turncoats) are now considered good when they join PTI.

And the biggest difference is tax has increased several times than before for the poor.

I think PMIK called them "electables" when distributing PTI tickets the last time.

I thought your stays were getting shorter? :)

But yep ppl lose all objectivity when it comes to IK & PTI. The poor, merchants, shopkeepers and business community overall is in shock and up in arms over these clowns who can’t even run their party let alone their country.

he is like that guy with Musical Instrument who kidnapped all the young kids of the village

I'm an avid PTI supporter. I trust that Imran Khan will blunt corruption and change the mindset for at least a significant portion of the population.

Pakistanis over the past few decades have become morally corrupt, financially corrupt, religiously corrupt, greedy, selfish and violent.... I hope Imran Khan changes a bit of that.

However, if the PTI doesn't start changing things for the better around the 2 year mark ... I will switch by support from PTI to nobody.

Allahualim

I would definitely give the Government time. We have to wait and watch.

For Real Changes to Materialize

a) Punjab's Development Bodies will need a change, so money can get to Lower level workers
b) Sindh needs a massive clean up in PPP segment

The three National Agendas are above administrative changes
  • Economy [IMF negotiations are underway]
  • Water [Dam construction already underway]
  • Taxes Reforms needed

Too much interference from ISI, FIA, IB, and Army in Pakistan's domestic economic and political affairs without any real benefit to Pakistanis.

Austerity drive going wrong @Dubious
media report:
First luxury jeep worth Rs 8 million has been imported for Shaukat Ali Yousafzai.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Acting against the austerity drive of Prime Minister Imran Khan, KPK government has started importing luxury vehicles for its ministers.

As per details, first luxury jeep worth Rs 8 million has been imported for Shaukat Ali Yousafzai. A modern 2800cc luxury car has been imported for yousafzai against the rules which says a minister can only have 1800 cc car.

What went wrong?

  1. They stopped paying billions of rupees a year to media houses for "government advertisements".
  2. They started holding corrupt political leaders to account.
  3. They asked people to pay tax and pay full price for the energy they consume.

I know it seems confusing, but @Dubious is not PTI minister for PDF. lol

Rather these things should be complained about on PM portal app, or on twitter. The twitter community is doing great things. Recently the Presidents house put out an ad to build a zoo or something. People tweeted in protest and tagged in the PM, president, other pti ministers etc. The President himself responded and said he would cancel the request and it was made my a member of staff by mistake. Who knows the truth - but the action of pti supporters on twitter and normal people, caused a reversal.

i urge everyone to not tweet just their friends on social media, but to use it to contact politicians and political parties.

Just wanted to share news with @Dubious
They did a good job by stopping payments to media houses ----- They are only targeting opposition for accountability, otherwise there are lots of corrupt politicians in PTi as well. They also failed to hold accountable any bureaucrat (we all know how much corrupt our govt depts are) ------ They are going the typical way of leaving the defaulters+ big thieves and recovering the amount from honest utility bill payers ----
