Elon Musk launches 2 astronauts in 7 man capable Dragon

due to monoply russia was charging high price but in reality cost incurred in russia is much less otherwise u.s would not have abandoned manned missions from their soil after 2011,private company only work when they get enough customers for their service and due to negative impact on world economy after covid19 they will not get much people to travel to space as people are already avoiding travel through airliners, all this will hinder their growth in next few years
It cost the US $86 million per seat for a ride on a Soyuz... SpaceX does that for a fraction of the cost and uses US labor. A ride on SpaceX's Dragon is reported to cost just $55 million per seat. Oh, and SpaceX can recycle and reuse their launchers saving on both cost and resources. The cost of these launches are invested back into the US space sector, supporting US labor, research and innovation, not to prop up Russia's dying space program. It's well worth the cost:usflag::usflag::usflag:.

Simple stunning. Godspeed Bob and Doug.

...

Speaking of Bob and Doug.

In Musk We Trust

unless they are able to send high payload manned mission they cannot be considered as low cost option for manned mission as salaries of employees in russia are much less as compared to u.s making manned mission to space station from russia much feasible and that might be one reason u.s not send manned mission to space from 2011.Starship of spacex is repeatedly failing in tests and now seems very far from reality

Dont bet against papa Musk...the guy has made tremendous progress and will only succeed.

when iphone and pcs were made by u.s they were also thinking that no one will get such technology but huawei have achieved such capability similar will happen to space missions in future and china will make progress in space in coming years
Superb!! That's why US should lead the world and china should only be in charge of farming rice

Completely agree...except that huawei has not made any innovations...its just copy/paste. Innovation is the key ingredient required for chinese to take over US.

Copy Paste has its own benefits - :woot:. When we need something cheap with the quality we turn towards Chinese. arent we doing it for last 3 decades :azn:

You are an idiot for missing the main point of my post...read it again.

Copy/paste has it own benefits...yes but key ingredient "Innovation" is what made the US...Superpower.

There are very good at doing the safe route of being a follower of established technological breakthroughs instead of risking time, money, and failure on being leaders.

Congrats? Why did you tag me? We are Chinese? A third world poor country with no tech? Why do you need my acknowledgment? Lol. Since when are we even comparable to supapowa Murica. You can launch however many rockets you want, but you ain't got nothing if you condone snapping a blackmans neck.

I knew private space companies are the future from day one!
Look at the progressing speed the Space X made in past years, it embarrassed all government led space programs.

It's pretty sad that Elon Musk with a private company and a budget nowhere close to the US/Russian/Chinese space programs can not only accomplish what they have done but simply pull to the front leaving them to scramble.

How silly (and relevant) will they feel when the huge Starship docks to the ISS????

Elon is a badass.

Because he's not afraid to fail. So what if something explodes? He'll just make the next design better, and then the next one better, until eventually he perfects the product. And he does it fast. Starship SN4 just exploded but SN5 and 6 are almost complete with SN7 already under construction.

Foreign agencies are going to realize how far they are behind the day you see a Starship stacked on a Super Heavy and it successfully launches to orbit. Starship will be a huge strategic asset for the US and NASA and the military will cream themselves.

The large sized satellites that a Starship will be able to launch will immediately turn impossible ideas into reality. Dense shielding is one. Geostationary optical satellites is another.
