For the last few days the Srinagar residents have been witnessing immense air activities in the nearby Srinagar AB. Last night the citizens were frightened by repeated air raid sirens coming from the Srinagar airport.

Or maybe our jets from Skardu scared the air defense operatives of Srinagar AB.

Recently a lot of panic has been observed in Indian SM circles ,regarding PLAAF presence in Skardu(Qadri) AB.

If Skardu AFB is activate for offensive activities, then it will be defended with air defense and early warning systems with 24/7 CAP.

If Chinese decide to use this air base, they will definitely beef up with their own air defense and anti missile defense,

Moreover Skardu AFB is about +100 km from the LoC.

There is no need for PLAAF in Skardu ....

If something does kick off, Pakistan may get involved on her own, but that does not mean it needs PLA forces in Pakistan .. that will make a trilateral issue between India, China, Pakistan more involved with other actors..

If Pakistan decides to open second front alongside LoC, upon official declaration of China-India war, possibility of sharing military bases cannot be ruled out.

Chinese AFBs can also be utilized to launch PAF offensive operations in the Kashmir sector.
