ISLAMABAD, Dec 15 (APP): With the allocation of Rs. six billion China has started construction of 14 projects in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.These projects are part of four and half year reconstruction project with the allocation of US $ 300 in the shape of Preferential Buyers Credit Loan for reconstruction activities in Muzaffarabad, AJK.Talking to APP Brig Msuood Ahmed, Chief of Staff, Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) here on Wednesday said that Chinese Preferential Buyers Credit Loan be used equitably for infrastructure development of three cities in AJK including Muzaffarabad, Bagh and Rawalakot.

He informed that for the project EXIM Bank of China would provide US$ 300 million (85%) whereas the Government of Pakistan has to provide counterpart funding of (15%) US $ 53 million.

very good..we need to develop azad kashmir more then indian occupied kashmir

China is like a true brother. Lots of love to Chinese brothers:smitten::china::pakistan:

But i wish the corrupt Pakistani govt start developing Gawadar city.:pakistan:

Gwadar will soon be booming, the amount of shipments that will pass through Gwadar will be absolutely enormous. Gwadar is in fact situated right at the mouth of the Persian gulf, a perfect location.

Port cities will often develop very quickly, look at Shanghai/HK/Singapore for instance. I hope the Chinese and Pakistani governments continue to pump more investments into Gwadar, there is a lot of potential there. :cheers:

A wake up call for those delusional Indians claiming China will change her policy regarding Kashmir issue due to India's pressure.
:china::pakistan:

india dont give **** ,watever china thinks about kashmir.
so i expect u to have a wake up in 2011:tdown:

And both Pakistan and China don't give anything worse than s*** what Bharat thinks about anything let alone Kashmir. Now that won't be a wake up call for you since you already knew it and you can't do anything about it. ;)

@topic
nice that china is helping its ally but i want to know what is there in it for china?
however close ally countries may be but nobody spends their money for nothing.

and kashimiris really deserve some development . why should they suffer because of disputes?

who cares about giving anything to pakistan,but ur chinese friends have a lot to think abt india.:no:
so dont become chinese,keep yourself to pakistani national only.

i dont want to divert the topic so :wave::wave:

China is playing smart..They want to turn AJK in a development model hence giving a "peaceful oar" in India's behind while the Indian occupied kashmir will remain riddled with protests and insurgency. Giving "shining India" a growing blot face over its diplomatic record.

I got rumors that Chinese intend to turn AJK into a world model of zero carbon city hence massive plans of solar, wind and hydro-electric projects will be announced soon.

Once the agaz-e-huqqoq Baluchistan bears fruit things will start to turn over pretty fast. Tho i have little faith in the fedual sardars they want to keep it all for themselves.

Post floods, Indians were ridiculing minor Chinese contributions but my 6th sense had a hint that Chinese would like to come in as investors to exploit massive rebuilding opportunities rather than throw bags of cash at corrupt government. A delicate balancing act indeed.

There are huge benefits for China!

Pakistan is a vital geostrategic artery for us, considering Gwadar port and the KKH which will allow our ships to bypass the Indian ocean. Then we have the connection to Iran which enables pipelines to travel directly into western China. This of course then relies on the land link between Pakistan and China, which is Pakistan's northern areas, the areas that are under discussion.

Pakistan is also our gateway to the Muslim world. Pakistan argues for us in the OIC, and enables us to develop strong relations with other Muslim nations which are strategically essential for a growing economy like China.

Most importantly, Pakistan is one of China's oldest and closest allies. Even during the time when China had very few friends in the world, Pakistan was always there for us. And the alliance will keep growing stronger and stronger as time goes on. :cheers:
