Let's be fair.

There may have been a needle in OP's post.

My question to you is simple.

Is it better to get needled, or is it better to acknowledge another one from the sub-continent that is getting a position that he has worked for and earned?

Look at the reaction from @Pakistan Ka Beta. It was classy. It said it all.

What's the big deal with Pakistani flagged posters here? Indian, Singaporean, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Malaysian etc. I'm told that you are all of the same race. Shouldn't you be cheering one of your own on ? I'm reading Shearer's posts and that member seem to agree
You beat me to the draw. I wrote my last post before this before reading your very balanced post.

Mind you, there was at least one Pakistani post that was big-hearted and got out of the rut. Good for him. He represents dozens, scores of members who HAVEN'T been posting.

Your PM? Oh, you keep count?
lol...another bhakt to the desperate rescue ...

We know who is keeping count of who...

Chal ja ab bhains ka chaara kha.

In my observation for the past 9 years in US, I rarely see any Pakistani grinding for 5-6 years to get a PhD or similar. Even if they get an admit, they look for a easy way out and graduate with a MS. You'll rarely see Pakistani community getting any long term demographic dividend compared to Indian or Chinese community in US. No idea about Europe.
Socio-economic status of Pakistani Americans is not that good, even those American born are behind Average American and Asian Americans
UK its is much worse

I hope you work in a testing lab. Otherwise it's quite disturbing you'd know shaved rats !
Works in desi kirana store.........probably advertising its "Asian" food store

Don't behave like another dumb bhakt.

Read the links instead of conveniently passing over and shooting up your claptrap in a hurry to reply. That's terrorist evidence collected from inside your own country.

Our PM also called out that fascist nazi you consider your PM. Remember that.
I've seen silly but this deliberate wanton silliness from you. Such silliness is somewhat like teens goofing around. Some of them have the mugs to be called cute but most others just end up being silly. Is that what you're going for here ?

With that long special effects mirror (you decide if the mirror makes you look fat thin tall or tiny but in no case right), I will once again ask:

W h a t c o n v I c t e d murderer became PM ?

OTOH if you just wanted to vent some frustration and facts didn't matter, be my guest.

Pakistan soon going on the blacklist
Now Kumar can put all the negative articles he wrote about Pakistan into practice.
Another Kumar another kind of trouble. Oh these bloody kumars....

You have to see it from the point of view of the potential PhD candidates, and their personal life goals. The pool of candidates being given visas to come to US universities is not only smaller, but probably includes a higher percentage of students with less support from back home. These students have to stop short and take up more pragmatic jobs that pay sooner, and can’t afford to work away for a decade or more in obscure subjects or disciplines to reach the top of those fields.

Solving a lot of problems back in Pakistan (when the nation lives out its creed of “Faith, Unity, and Discipline”), will not only give students the financial as well as the societal support (it’s ok to be eccentric and “selfish towards family life, and postpone starting a family”) to go for PhDs but also to join more long shot startups that can payoff in big ways.

On top of this, better political relations would also increase the pool of students coming to the US for an education, increasing the prospects of more star students making their way to the top of various industries. But that comes after fixing the problems at home.

If this org was technical as people claim…..uk, dubai etc would be on blacklist first……but ofcourse not

The country that benefited most from money laundering isn’t on the list……so yeah, zero credibility.

Especially in the wake of the Russo-Ukrainian war and all the money of the oligarchs that have been frozen.
