Afghan peace process cannot be Pakistan driven: India

Afghans pushtuns which i have met want pakistan and afghanistan to unite and since you bharti people know nothing about history, all of pakistan was part of afghanistan until ranjith singh who was made governor of lahore by Afghan king Zaman shah rebelled and and then he went on to occupy peshawar,

Afghanistan cannot survive if pakistan close the border even for a week and now make another pathetic reply to prove me how much afghans hate pakistan, You people get your knowledge from afghan forum run by bhartis, try meeting an afghan

lol, thanks for accepting Pakistan was a part of Afganistan! ;)

Maybe pak shuould consider that India is the only country in the vicinity that is CAPABLE of helping the afghans. We have a large economy, good civil service and military establishments, in this crucial phase of afghan reconstruction, india is the only country with both the cash and the manpower to help them.

Pakistan part of afghanistan or afghanistan part of Pakistan doesn't matter we are same people, we are aryans, sapta sindhwa consisted of pakistan afghanistan and by the way their founder ahmed shah was born in pakistan and more than 3 times the number of pushtun lives in Pakistan than afghanistan

majority of afghans do not want india's help.

Says who? They know the truth- pakistan will keep blaring strategic interst and what not when they remain in the stone age. With India- real doctors, real roads, real dams, real progress. All teh myths of what afghanistan is supposed to be is being used by Pak to keep them back. India will help them achieve what they want the most- a bright future...

Err...excuse me!

What is the peace that you are talking about?

The peace in which a talib flogs a woman and kills her for venturing out of her home without the company of a male and destroys thousands' year old historical structures?

Or

The peace like the one you're currently enjoying under her majesty's auspices?

Which peace are you talking about, exactly?

the peace is a solution where the relevant stakeholders are satisfied of their security.

this means a dialogue and trust building between pakistan and afghanistan.

in that sense india is the big elephant in the way.

chucking some money will only get you so far, ground reality is different.

if the US wants a solution then they need to nudge india out of the way.

the more india is brought into the matter the bigger the trust deficit grows between nato and islamabad.

Get me 5 Punjabis, Pashtuns and Persians saying they are same people and I'd agree! :azn:

More than 3 times pashtuns living in Pakistan so pashtuns should be concerned for Pakistan more than Afganistan. The problem with most Pakistanis is they think Afganistan only belongs to Pashtuns when if we apply the same model in Paksitan, one can say Pakistan belongs to Punjabis only.

yes, of course india's hundreds of millions who live below the poverty line do not need any of the above.

please lets not entertain silly notions that india is like a western country that can afford to spend lavishly on foreign countries - its an investment and india hope to get something out of it.

afghans, namely the northern alliance goons are dancing to your tune.

lets see how long it lasts before someone pulls the plug.

^^^ if you insist on keeping afghanistan on the boil because of your feelings of insecurity, that just aint gonna cut with anyone. The kind of secure feeling that you can't get with billions of dollars of weapons, you won't get through politicking in afghanistan.

We are generally very good with ground effort coz we don't just throw our money around.

Our hundreds of millions are our problem. No one has asked pak to be bothered about them.

P.S- since you are so sure about your abiulity to support afghan needs-do your accountants know how many zeroes a billion has?

India, with millions of poor and yet spending money for Afgans means many times more than some western country churning out few millions of dollar.

Western countries can afford, not India, yet India is helping them to develop.

what have pakistan insisted?

pakistan only want security and assurance that afghan regime will remain of no concern.

the us have not cleared this up, india is pouring billions into afghanistan and increasing its footprint not for nothing - so the message is clear enough, pak needs to look after its business in the face of open provocation.
