What's new

China should abandon the communist flag.

lol:smitten: Really though, whats wrong with it? the PRC flag looks exactly like the Soviet flag except it has stars instead of tools, which is why it doesn't look right representing China.

You shouldn't hate the dragon flag because the Qing Dynasty put it to shame. it's like when someone uses your phone but breaks it, should you hate your phone? or the person who broke it?

Cheers my chinese brother

Dude, I do not hate the dragon flag.

But...

Who created all those wealth? Those bosses busy fu cking their sweeties, emigrating and talking about patriotism, or the working class enslaved by them? At least they should firstly learn to be more humane like their western rivals before changing the flag.

Not to mention some idealism reason like good luck, though not sure if it had ever been true marxism guided, this will be another humiliation to Chinese working class. Com never failed, pseudo ones did.

Han is not a lineage, but a culture.

The Hun join the Han, in the Han Dynasty.
The Xianbei join the Han, in the Tang Dynasty.
The Qidan join the Han, in the Song Dynasty.
The Mongolia join the Han, in the Ming Dynasty.
They are Han.

But the Qing Dynasty No Han culture, it is slavery.
Manchu ethnicity are completely assimilated. Manchuria is a part of China. Back in the days of the early KMT they had the exact same discussion -- do we reject the Manchu or do we take it as part of the country? The answer they came to was the latter.

Qing dynasty was the one dynasty that defeated all the nomads and pushed China's boundaries to its "proper" extent (at least on land). You want to go back to the boundaries of Ming dynasty?

And Qing dynasty was not that bad. The late Qing was horrible but Kangxi and Qianlong emperors made "The Empire of the Great Qing" a fearsome name all around the world. Reps from 100 nations would converge on Beijing to deliver gifts to the emperor. The early Qing were all extremely respectful toward Han Chinese culture.

Note that Qing dynasty was prejudiced against Southern Chinese. Northern Chinese like Beijing-ren, Hebei-ren and Shandong-ren were considered closer cousins to the Manchu and had higher status.

Calling Qing dynasty slavery is totally ridiculous! Even Yuan dynasty, a better candidate for this description, had its high point (Kublai Khan).

agreed, even the big bosses are not shameless enough to talk about changing the flag. Statistics show that nations with red flags win more wars than nations without red flags, and nations with stars on their flag win more wars than nations without stars. We can't lose if we keep this flag. On the other hand, a yellow dragon flag is the surest way to lose our next war: it has no star and is not red.

Can't drop the stars. A star in your flag is directly correlated with winning wars. In the past 60 years, countries that have won the most wars are:

1.) US
2.) PRC
3.) USSR
4.) Israel
5.) North Vietnam

What do they have in common? Stars in their flag.

Note the losers:

1.) Germany
2.) Japan
3.) South Vietnam
4.) India
5.) Egypt

What do they have in common? No stars in their flags.

Well Pakistan has a star in its flag and lost half of their country in 1971!:rofl:

Manchu is the Han, But the Qing Dynasty is not the Han.
It is a slavery country, It is a closed country.

The Han can not have slavery. The Han can accommodate alien.

The Qing dynasty is a slavery country.

Qing dynasty is also china. the founders of qin empire were not han people but it was highly sinicized and it's continute and development of chinese civilization.

you might not see 400 hundreds ago's history from today's han nationalist perspective. by your logic, england under viking and Normandy rule was also not english history.

Dragon is part of many east asian nation's culture heritage today, it is too closed-mind to think dragon is exclusive to han people

Exceptions happen. In 1962 the 5 starred chinese flag beat the indian 0 star flag. Statistically countries with stars in their flag win more wars.

You're joking right? Please tell me you are.

Inferior, single-starred Vietnamese flag beat both "superior" 50-starred American flag and 4-starred Chinese flag.

I guess exceptions happen a lot more than you think.
