Hindu students attacked for celebrating Holi at Punjab University in Lahore

In Pakistan if you are rich and powerful you will get away with anything.

IJT are hooligans and they attack everyone who doesn't go by their rules. In past, they have beaten mercilessly fellow Muslim Pashtun and Baloch students.
They can't tolerate holi, which is full of colors and fun time.

We don't care either as long as you don't interfere with our faith.
don't bother with this one, just ignore

ye unka jamahir hai.. same shit for years.. basically "I hate Hindus" is about all he knows

I think this is a country wide directive for all the jamiet student unions- to stop Holi on university campuses throughout the country

If it is than the one giving this directive should be arrested

No surprise this thread was overlooked and buried under, like usual. No one cares about the plight of non-Muslims in Pakistan, it is only when some no name politician on the other side of the globe burns a Quran when they suddenly care about humanity.

The thread is barely a couple of hours old. Impatience is not a virtue.

We are enemies, we want this shit out, Indian Muslims are attacked, Muslim areas are under siege and you expect us to tolerate this Hindu shit?

What exactly do Sindhi Pakistani Hindus have to do with whatever goes on in India? Pakistanis should be greater than the communal cesspool and the widespread caste slavery in India.

Those people are PAKISTANI citizens. What is the point of discriminating citizens based on religion? What is next, sect, ethnicity, region, language etc.?

YES, almost 97% of the population is Muslim and Pakistan is a Muslim country but if Muslim Caliphates, all the way back to the Rashidun, freaking 1400 years ago, were able to respect/protect their religious minorities, why should Pakistan not do the same in the year 2023?

Shameful.

I find many aspects of Hinduism to be absurd but I keep that for myself. According to the Pakistani constitution, educational institutions (universities in this case) cannot discriminate based on religion. There is freedom of religion in Pakistan too.

Students engaged in such practices should be arrested or at least made to stop such behaviors on campus.

Holi is a festival of molestation

Shouldn't be allowed in universities

Pakistani Hindus are a different breed from Indian ones. They are by large totally peaceful people. At least in Sindh. Don't know any other ones in Pakistan.

There is this stupid idea that every Hindu in the world is loyal/have favorable views/soft spot to India or that every Shia is loyal/have favorable views/soft spot to Iran. Yes, many are but far from everyone.

There have been Pakistani Hindu MARTYRS in conflicts/wars with India. Has Pakistan ever had any problems with its Hindu citizens? Not that I am aware of.

Hindutva hordes in India should not be the benchmark for Pakistan and Pakistanis.

If someone doesn't want to celebrate holi - don't celebrate - that's it

As in don't allow men to touch women when celebrating Holi - it makes sense we are a conservative society

Thier should be a separate space where those who want to celebrate the festival should go and celebrate - not throughout the university

If you do this than all sides are happy - if they're still not happy than frankly they can f off

World doesn't revolve around thier sensibilities

They ain't Pajeets - so shouldn't be judged like Pajeets
They're family, you love your family

Pakistanis need to read and understand this:

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Simply ignoring injustice against others because it does not affect you is taking the easy way out. Eventually the injustice will reach you as well. The toxic mentality unfotunately is so normalized that we are not even able to recognize it anymore.

We ignored it for so long It already reached us if you think about it- tlp guys beating up random people during one of their protests for example

Next thing jamiet boys might do is beat up your sister's or loved one's for not wearing hijab or hell burqa on university campuses lol

It is not even about Sindhi kinship it is also about basic Islamic principles. It is also about showing the world that Pakistan and Pakistanis are much better than the Hindutva hordes in India, their caste slave system etc. It is about basic decent humanity and tolerance.

Sindh is famous for Muslims, Hindus and Christians living peacefully side by side. Yes, there are some problems (due to certain Pakistani laws) and certain ignorant people (a small minority overall) but overall there are no problems.

I don't understand how come a peaceful religious celebration on a campus (personally I believe that universities should be strictly irreligious as institutions unless they are specifically religious in nature) of Pakistani citizens, should give any cause for concern.

Quite frankly, I believe it is primitive behavior and it gives a bad name to Pakistan. It is not needed at all.
