What's new

Turkish Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler: We are considering purchasing 40 Eurofighter Typhoons

France or Greece that doesnt matter
Turkiye can not use F35 against a NATO member and Israel

We used the American F-16 for YEARS against Greece.

Nothing happened, Americans kept selling us more F-16s. You're a very stupid person. You speak english but you don't understand the American mindset at all.

It would be a BIG deterrent against France. It would be an amazing capability boost, and more importantly ıt would be a great EXPERIENCE in dealing with a fifth generation fighter. You are too dim witted to see this.

Because you are obsessed with Greece.
We literally have to drag our balls through broken glass just to get some Su-35's which we don't even have yet, and theirs members on this forum that are saying the Rafale or EF is garbage. Crazy.
and our real enemies are USA,France,Greece even Israel and Germany in Syria and in the Eastern Mediterranean
I will never understand this mindset from some of the right-wing Turks. Turkey was a close friend of many of these countries before the Syrian Civil War. Completely unneeded feuding started with the arrival of Erdogan and his policies. What is the ideological contradiction that would make the USA, France and Israel enemies of the Turks??? Totally unnecessary.

Hürjet trainer variant to replace all the T-38s in the inventory and combat variant to be designed, tested, put in production, we're still looking at 2030 the earliest.

And speaking of "western jets" you do realize that Hürjet is powered by the American F-404 engine right?
At best we will get a Gripen-C equivalent plane out of that. No match for EF-2000

Without the delta wing design I doubt Hürjet will carry even as much as Gripen-C

The initial variant of the Hurjet will be a trainer only right? Assuming that is perfected 5 years from now, and enters service, it will take at least 4-5 years to develop a fighter variant of that. That would mean ~2033 or so.

Even Boeing estimates that much time will be taken for a light fighter variant of the T-7A, which itself has been beset with problems related to manufacturing and still hasn't been able to enter full rate production due to canopy egress issues.

Flying computer F-35 is not F-16

We need codes from USA to take off for every mission
and There was no real war between Turkiye and Greece

in a war , what will happen if USA doesn't give the codes for Turkish F-35s ?
F-35s can not even take off without American permission

USA doesnt sell even F-16V to Turkiye

because since 2016 Turkiye kicked American plans everywhere
They won't sell Fighter Jets to Turkiye unless we accept their political demands

Meet the USA's loser team : FETO , PKK/YPG , HAFTAR , Armenia , Greece

What is the ideological contradiction that would make the USA, France and Israel enemies of the Turks??? Totally unnecessary.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union ( Communism ) in 1991-1992
USA found a new enemy .. the new enemy is ISLAM and Muslim Countries

The West began looking for an alternative enemy
USA had found its way into Islam because of the religious awakening that was revived at the time

since 1991 USA-France,Israel have a dirty plan to destroy territorial integrity of Iraq , Syria , Turkiye and Iran to create KURDISTAN

therefore USA,The EU,İsrael support PKK-YPG Terror Organization against Turkiye since 1991

-- Iraq almost were divided 3 pieces including Iraqi Kurdistan
-- They failed in Syria because 3 Turkish military operations destroyed their ROJAVA dream
-- They failed in Turkiye too

Thanks to Russia for come back
In the new strategic concept, NATO has classified Russia as the enemy and the new threat to the Alliance, having been an enemy of Islamic fundamentalism for nearly 28 years since the fall of the Soviet Union and its communist doctrine.

According to TAI
Tranier variant in 2025
Fighter variant in 2028-2029

For the 4th gen Fighter Jets
AESA Radar , network centric warfare capability and air to air missile are more important than Platform in BVR combat

MURAD AESA Radar and GOKHAN ramjet powered long range air to air missile will turn HURJET into lethal platfoms against 4th gen Fighter Jets including F-16V

Old technology Rafale or EF can not match with stealth platforms F-22 . F-35 and soon KIZILELMA and KAAN in BVR combat

For example

RCS ( m2 )
RAFALE : 1 m2
F-16C Block70 : 1.2 m2
KIZILELMA block2 : 0.005 m2
1700733345456.png

Range of engagement
KIZILELMA : from 90+ km
RAFALE : 35-43 km

KAAN will have more better AESA Radar than MURAD AESA Radar on KIZILELMA
1700733619156.jpeg

KAAN will detect RAFALE form very long distance and will fire GOKHAN ramjet powered long range air to air Missiles to turn RAFALE into scrap of metal

RAFALE Pilot even will not know what hit him

S400 never failed against Fighter Jets
and S400 has kill record in the world with range of 150+ km
So , We will use S400s against Fighter Jets , AEWCs
How many jets has S-400 shot down? Let me hear you say it.

You've lost your damn mind. We're still building TFX Kaan with American engines. And Hürjet, even Gökbey is still flying with CTS-800

If we hadn't bought the S400 we would have multiple active squadrons of F35 right now.

It has nothing to do with 2016.

and There was no real war between Turkiye and Greece

You don't know the meaning of deterrence.

It doesn't have to be a war. If Turkey received 116 F35 like planned it would make our hand very strong on the diplomacy table. That's more than enough.

We literally have to drag our balls through broken glass just to get some Su-35's which we don't even have yet, and theirs members on this forum that are saying the Rafale or EF is garbage. Crazy.

Yeah I know it's nuts. But it's actually not that different from the Iranian attitude

@MMM-E is basically acting like an Iranian here. Whatever his country has is awesome. Other things are garbage :cheesy:

Of course since we have 72 Kızılelma Block 2s in service, Rafale is no match :cheesy:

Adam uçuyor amına koyyim

evreni fethettin amına kodumun delisi

Eski dediğin uçak, yere göğe sığdıramadığın F16 yı ayakta siker şu an. Elimizde 240 tane aesa radarsız F-16, bir filo da zar zor uçan F4 var. Realite bu.

Gerçek hayata dön.

Yeah at that point we might not bother with the combat variant if TFX Kaan is ready.

Post 2030 there might not be a market in the world for 4th generation fighters. The world is changing, sixth generation fighters are coming. NGAD will change the landscape.

This guy says Rafale and Eurofighter are old technology, but wants Turkey to buy 40 Eurofighter.

He says F-16V is a joke, but most of the Turkish Air Force has F-16 and not even F-16V.

He says Turkish weapons are the best, but we need F-16Vs and Eurofighter.

He says Israeli Navy is nothing, because they don't have numbers. He says the Egyptian Navy is nothing, because Turkey has UAVs...he says the Greek Navy is nothing because Turkey has been building ships like crazy.

He says Russian AA weapons are trash, but S-400 is the best in the world.

He says "Americans hate us because we won everywhere". Like...Where? The Kurds are still in Syria and under American protection. The Kurds are still in Iraq. Haftar still has half of Libya and most of the country's oil. Greece and Cyprus haven't started drilling in the East Mediterranean yet. What did you win? A war in Nagorno-Karabakh,where you supported Azerbaijan?

He says "we have bases in Qatar,Cyprus,Libya,Somalia". And? What do you need these bases?

He has managed to tear the space-time continuum and he's living in 2033 while the rest of the world is living in 2023

He's saying these things because in his parallel universe Turkey has 300 Kaan fighters, 500 Kızılelma and TF2000 destroyers cruising around the oceans of the world :cheesy:

I do think Turkish navy is the strongest in the region but we still have some big problems. Our best air defense frigates are still the Gabya class with SM-1 missiles. We can't put the Turkish tpye FAC into production due to a lack of money, we're not modernizing the Yavuz class, they don't even have Smart-S radars. etc. etc.

Those who laughed at my comment about 5000 KAAN's. After KAAN becomes operational Turkiye will never again buy foreign jets. KAAN will be devellopped and produced in different variants, configurations and models (just like F-16, F-15, F-18 etc). Since we have our own jets there is no restriction or limits to produce as much as we want (as long as the economic situation allows it).

You cannot just mass produce fighter jets without other sorts of repercussions. This includes economic, costs and far more. Turkey would have to maintain those jets and other countries will be curious of the buildup and stop much needed materials required for trade.

Also, the KAAN would be in development by 2035 and it is only comparable to a modified F-16. It takes multiple years to develop jets, achieving 5000 of those would take you to 2050 at least. 2050 with 5000 modified F-16s will not be impressive at that time.

With relatively optimistic estimation of 10 airframes produced per month, it would take us roughly 45 years non stop production and money flow to produce 5.000 Kaan fighters lol.

Even USA doesn't have (or doesn't plan to have) that many F-35s

My very optimistic estimation is 600 units produced in 6 years, including exports
