India fears sudden change in Bangladesh

20 million means 1600 people per day
for the last 40 years. BSF must be a joke of some sort.
You Indians can cry as much as you like
or start with sending a proposal to BD GOV.
Or else live in your gutters. Indians are such sissies
with all sorts of bogus claims.

see, there is illegal BDs in india. but it has nothing to do with change in BD politics.India after many years has a good relation with them. but the muslim fanatics (BNP or JII) may yet come to power and undo all the good work done to improve relatino between the 2 countries

Millions came during the massacre/rapes of 1971 by the Pak army in collusion with BD razakars. so its not that every day people are coming. they all came in a huge tidal wave in 1971. you come to delhi;s slum and see for urself. many servants in mumbai are bangladeshis. but they have now been living here so long and have been having many kids here that they are now fused to india unfortunately. assam is also similarly filled with illegals flooding it of late. thats why the bsf needs to cull the BDs doing illegal border crossing

It feels like an infinite loop
this illegal subjects.
Seems most of Indians are programmed nerds.
Its rather futile to have some constructive discussions.

-------------------

thats fine. but the point of the article is that the good relation between the 2 countries may get undone at anytime depending on an election result. But thats what democracy is about. So i wonder if all the transit and loans India are giving BD will be scrapped if AL lose elections.

well the illegals are also infinite..almost. they are changing demographics here. but anyways.. it is what it is

Grown up man take a look at these small numbers and then cry...

If these 10-20 million numbers are not substantial then take them to your house and feed them GROWN UP MAN after all feeding and employing them is cheap to you...:cheesy::cheesy:

All three of the sources you have provided state that there is no official figure on the illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. Wikipedia estimates it to be 2 million, southasiaanalysis.org estimates it around 20 million, and Institute of Defence Studies and Analysis estimates it at 10-20 million. More like guesstimates if you ask me. And i asked you to show an official figure on Illegal immigrants, not some guesstimate analysis.

Bro i dont know where you get your information from but India is not providing any transit to BD it is the opposite, and this loan thing has been debated countless times, i ll skip it this time. Ask yourself this question, is it logical for GoI to say that the relations will go bad automatically if AL loses? It's like saying to the people of BD no cookies for you if you dont vote for AL.

so until then you will deny even 1 illegal i am sure. i think when modi becomes PM and starts culling the illegals they will all show up and start running back to their country. ok thats is wishful thinking. but the truth is that the congress govt in the past have actally made millions of BDs quasi-legal by giving them ration card etc. and the fact is there is no census done. but estimates are always done in many fields of science and commerce and its a genuine tool for enumerating.

lol if you think there is no BD illegal man in here i m afraid you have a serious OFF-STATE mind...

Back to point::If you think India as a friend we are ready to treat you as our brothers and have no issues with the same...but if Anti-India sentiment is high then there is a word called DIGNITY if you have them take all your BD illegal immigrants right back to your country...

Preliminary transcript of the Q & A session between the PM and Newspaper Editors

Q 1: Sir, you did not mention anything about our neighbourhood.

A: Well, neighbourhood worries me a great deal, quite frankly
You have a situation in Sri Lanka. The decimation of the LTTE was something which is good. But the Tamil problem does not disappear, with the defeat of the LTTE. The Tamil population has legitimate grievances. They feel they are reduced to second-class citizens. And our emphasis has been to persuade the Sri Lankan government that we must move towards a new system of institutional reforms, where the Tamil people will have a feeling that they are equal citizens of Sri Lanka, and they can lead a life of dignity and self-respect. It is not easy. Within Sri Lanka’s population, there are hotheads, the Sinhala chauvinism is a reality. But we have to find a difficult balance because what happens in Sri Lanka has a domestic dimension also. The Tamil Nadu government and assembly have often shown great worry about what is happening. Our challenge is to keep the Tamil Nadu government on our side. I have had good cooperation with Jayalalithaa-ji. I raised this matter with her the very first time. What she asked of me was moderate. Whatever be the resolutions that were passed in the assembly, I found her fully conscious of the complexities and the realities of managing this relationship.
With Bangladesh, we have good relations. Bangladesh government has gone out of its way to help us in apprehending the anti-Indian insurgent groups which were operating from Bangladesh for a long time. And that is why we have been generous in dealing with Bangladesh. We are not a rich country. But we offered it a line of credit of one billion dollars, when Sheikh Hasina came here. We are also looking at ways and means of some further unilateral concessions. We are also looking at ways and means of finding a practical and pragmatic solution to the sharing of Teesta waters. I plan to go there myself. The external affairs minister is planning to go later this week. So, Bangladesh, our relations are quite good. So Bangladesh, our relations are quite good. But we must reckon that at least 25 percent of the population of Bangladesh swear by the Jamiat-ul-Islami and they are very anti-Indian, and they are in the clutches, many times, of the ISI. So, a political landscape in Bangladesh can change at any time. We do not know what these terrorist elements, who have a hold on the jamiat –e – islami elements in Bangladesh, can be upto.
So a very uncertain neighbourhood. A very uncertain international, economic environment. We have to swim and keep our heads high.

It is logical that there will be some illegal immigrants from neighbouring countries. But it is no where near what most posters around here make it out to be. Bringing up an unsubstantiated claim in every other thread as a means to offset logical arguments is very unethical. Seems like a very useful get-away-with-anything card like the holocaust card or the "Islam Khatrey Mey Hain" card.

agreed, so can we safely say that there are between 2 and 20 million BD ilegals here? remember indias population has dounbled since 71. and typicallypoor people that too illegal and muslim must have more-than-doubled their numbers. If those born to illegals in india and their children are counted , we are looking at a huge number.

I personally support it....I consider BD as brothers of India but if anti-india sentiments there is rising i am afraid our brother-hood is at the stake.....
