What's new

Only 11% want Democracy

I think you need to grow up..Pakistani democracy is new(came after musharraf) India is a democracy from the start UK democracy is also old and USA has a 2 party system with the Congress and the Republicans being the major 2 parties with serious contention for power.

whats new all we know it pakistani democracy come and go every 10 years due . before mushy there was democracy before zia there was democracy before ayub there was democracy dude its not new lolz

I think a benevelant dictatorship is needed. However the problem is that absolute power corrupts. We do need and want democracy eventually. However we need someone like Quaid-e-azam or Liaqat Ali, a selfless leader. At this moment it is more likely that one of our military men are more likely to throw someone like that than our political parties of ppp or pna. I mean my son has more chance of leading pakistan if he was to join the army get promoted on merit become head of army and take over as a leader of pakistan. What chance does someone who is not in buhtto/sharif family of becoming leader. I mean our democracy is a farce. The west use democracy as an excuse to weaken us. I mean can you imagine benazir left her party to her son. A political party is made up of individuals. You can not own people or a party unless they are slaves. In a will you leave property. These corrupt leaders think us as their slaves.

Democracy is the best revenge. I am surprised to see the votes for khilafat. I am sure the poll has been conducted after juma prayers, outside the mosques of specific sect.

This is no surprise, at least not to me, see if you ask people, do you want a system same like Syedna Umar [R.A] established in his time, acting on the teachings of the Prophet [S.A.W], then believe me, majority of the people, whether a Mullah or a common man, will say KHILAFAT! That's the difference!

Their is not much difference between ignorants like you and red necks who associate every Muslims with terrorism.

There is need to make difference for Pakistan, as a Moderate Muslim myself who doesn't support terrorists, sympathizers, suicide bombings who kill every humans, some Mullahs willing to do revenges against Pakistan in which they are lack of tolerates, disciplines, and self-respects in contrast to the teach of Islam. These small numbers of people (who praised terrorisms) should be destroyed or hanged up. And dismiss your arguments.

What label will you give to one who is in supportive of establishing Islamic principles according to what Allah has revealed but at the same time rejects radical Mullah politics.
Btw was Prophet Mohammed PBUH a "moderate" Muslim? And wasnt he supportive of establishing Islamic system?

this opinion poll is being conducted on the basis of male dominated society of pak.
If women folk were permitted to express themselves freely they would have stated otherwise.( tired of being flogged, village raped then naked parading, other 3 wives and similar draculan practices laid down)

how many pakistani woman have you talked to about this issue?

Probably Jamaat e Islami members participated in this or madarrsah students.

Pakistan has never had a true democratic leadership

Leaders of Pakistan : enjoy HAIL DEMOCRACY

This kid of action would have been deemed as an assault in USA and 2 years prison probably

Guy in middle is our awam (public)

TAX evasion by Pakistani politicians, some politicans pay 7,000 rupees about 78 dollars

Majority of Pakistan’s want Pure Islamic system in Pakistan i.e.; Khilafah, while only 11% want democracy which is current ruling system in our state.
Pakistan is not a democracy; not yet, anyway. The civilian executive lacks firm power to dismiss generals and the legislature has little control as to how army funds are spent or military combat activities, nor may soldiers report wrongdoings to a civilian-appointed inspector general. The soldiers have proved time and time again that they won't cooperate with a civilian court's jurisdiction. So Pakistan is more like a military junta with elected subordinate officials than it is to a real democracy.

Throughout its existence (except a few beginning years), Pakistan has been as democratic as the Pakistani Army has allowed it to be.. That itself explains a lot. As a matter of fact, most of the folks surveyed, probably have never seen real democracy in Pakistan.

An international company, MEMRB which offers custom analysis to address special issues, conducted nationwide survey in Pakistan. They asked question about ruling system in Pakistan. Question was “Which Ruling System can solve Pakistan’s Problems?”

Options were as follows

1. Democracy

2. Dominion

3. Islamic Khilafat

4. Martial Law

5. Any other

This survey had been made on 30 cities and 60 villages from all over Pakistan. All age group took part in this survey while different level of educated people also participated in survey. The result of survey was as follows.

1. Democracy (Only 11%) :lol::lol:

2. Dominion (Only 6%)

3. Khilafat (53%)

4. Martial Law (22%) :p:P

5. Islamic Democracy (Only 2%)

Some people claim that only well educated people want democracy and illiterate people know nothing about real worth of pure democracy. But this survey exposed there claim, more than 56% people who favored Khilafah, either they were under primary or above Graduate. People from big cities also want Khilafat. In Karachi, Lahore & Islamabad 40% people want martial law, 39% Khilafat while 15% democracy.

This is not a single survey which showed these type of stats but many other international survey companies found same results in past. US also warned Pakistan that fundamental Islamic sentiments are very high in Pakistan which is a potential threat for modern democratic world.

the survey hasn't covered the entire pakistan right?

democracy rocks!

Democracy in Pakistan is a tried and failed- repeated over many times- practice- it seems like those 11 percent have habit to fail so much that they even their wish is for it-

Thats good- Majority wants out of this democratic sh!t- only positive result of democracy i have seen in past 3-4 years is that the government- no matter how corrupt and incompetent it is- completes its term--
