Bhagavad Gita faces 'extremist' branding, ban in Russia

try to choose your words carefully , i just quoted few things from one of your books ( and Indian members told me they are not authentic) .
i can choose more disgusting words but i respect every religion and this is what my religion told me .

Can you tell me which book was it out of? And which page was it on? As I come from so-called high caste Brahmin background my dad and grandfather have nearly read all the Vedas, Upnishadas and Manusmrithi. I can verify it with them. :)

And I never said anything against Islam if you read my post again! I said those perceptions are as much of LIES as what you've just quoted! Lies mean they are not true! :) Come on mate! :)

Ahh..so basically the Smritis are the Hindu equivalent of the hadith books, i.e. not authentic and full of conjecture.

wrong ...it is lesser than that ..nobody cares about smritis.....it is written by a particular people for a particular time ...it may contain vested interests of the people who wrote it .

Its reducing tremendously. Caste based political players like Lalu prasad Yadav got only 4 seats in parliament as compared to 45 seats some years ago, Ramvilas paswan only 1 seat of himself from previous 27. These numbers are game chaning in Indian politics.

People are rejecting it overwhelmingly.

ManuSmriti is Manu's Interpretation and his views on social code of conduct. Its not binding.

No religious text is binding in Sanatan Dharma. Like its OK to draw cartoon of your prophet even if it is forbidden by your book. This is the sort of liberty offered. The liberty to question to be critical, to introspect, to discard. Basically, its a way of life and not a religion as such.

The liberty offered by Sanathana Dharma is much more than that ...and i dare any religious text in the world will state something like this ...

Famous words of Shankaracharya goes like this .....( not exact translation ) its about ADWAITA

" If it is wriiten that fire is cold and you experienced the opposite ...then you have full right to REJECT whole text .""

O great hero! The duties of Brahmanas, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and also of Shudras have been divided according to the qualities born of their own nature

This verse alludes to the fact that the Shudras being "born to the qualities - of their OWN nature" is justifying their treatment as the lowest of the low.

In hinduism what u get in this life is a result of karma u did in past life......

Lord Krishna speaks to Arjuna as he clarifies the origin and purpose of the caste system in sanaatana dharma (Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4, Shloka 13).

cāturvarṇyaṃ mayā sṛṣṭaṃ guṇakarmavibhāgaśaḥ .

tasya kartāramapi māṃ viddhyakartāramavyayam .. 4\-13..

chaaturvarnyam shloka

The four-fold order was created by Me according to the divisions of quality and work. Though I am its creator, know Me to be incapable of action or change.

Cāturvarṇyaṃ: the four-fold order. The four varnas are named - Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra. They constitute the four-fold order. The three gunas - sattva, rajas and tamas - and the law of karma - these four elements were divided by Me to create the four varnas.

Sattva guna predominates in Brahmins - and they are assigned the tasks (karma) of sham, dam, tapas (meditation) etc.

Rajas guna predominates in Kshatriyas - sattva guna is secondary. Their karma is to be warriors and show bravery and tejas.

Rajas guna also predominates in Vaishyas - tamas guna is secondary. Their karma is to be farmers and traders.

Tamas guna predominates in Vaishyas - rajas guna is secondary. Their karma is to serve others.

The emphasis is on guna (aptitude) and karma (function) and not on jaati (birth). The varna or the order to which we belong is independent of sex, birth or breeding. A varna is determined by temperament and vocation - not by birth or heredity.

How well u discharge ur duties is important .......

Try again little injun - Kavkaz is linked to the Chechen rebels, give me authentic news about the Holy Quran being banned, come on injun you have google at your disposal.

You should get yourself tested for tourette's mate:lol:

Is this the best you can do injun - this is what your fellow indian has posted.

This ties in with what many indians told me in india - that the reason Shudras are born as Shudras is the result of their actions in their past life. The Chechen rebels are at war with the Russian state, it is in their interest to show that state as an oppressor - Come on injun - get googling and find me a real source.

It refers to the fact that individuals have different roles to play depending on their state of evolution. Each soul is evolving, over many life times, towards perfection, Nirvana, divinity, bliss.

The Varna classification is not hereditary!

shudras are never born as shudras and same for brahmins...that is the reason we are supposed to believe only in vedas and nothing else...but vedic dharma is thousands of years old and thus has been subjected to huge number of manipulations over these years...

If you read original vedas they are very clear about varna system, vedas are monotheistic and do not promote idol worship.

I understand, but it does mean that people that are born - in this life, their condition in it - is made possible by their "karma" of their previous lives. So according to the Hindu faith - Shudras are Shudras because of Karma.

Very interesting, thanks for that clarification - so the belief that Shudra's are born in to that caste, because of the Karma of their past lives, is a gross mis-interpretation of the Varna's?

yes thats right but a shudra can become a brahmin and vice versa according to the vedas but due to misinterpretation of this system it became rigid so it was sat that a person born shudra continues being a shudra
