Indian IT firms employ over 1 lakh in US: Report

LOL, why no Indian version for such an IT superpowah.

Read the Red Bull story. That's Chinese diaspora entrepreneurship all over the world, not just the US.

I hope you do know that if an employer rejects a candidate because he has an H1 status and not a PR status, he is liable to be sued.. Its only you who is making that distinction.. Companies in the USA are not allowed to do that..

Incorrect. It is perfectly legal to require that non-immigrant visa holders need not apply. Many companies that don't want to deal with immigration red tape.

The work permit visas (H1, L1, B1) are specific to an employer, which means the visa is only valid as long as you are employed full time by your sponsor.

You don't because you can't.

Yes I can't play dumb games, thanks for the offer though.

Business success is determined by the marketplace and P/L, not silly business mags Indians mentally masturbate to.

And you understand marketplace and profit loss more than BW and Forbes with all their technical rigors in selecting them?

I know its insulting, but people here make that famed Chinese IQ seem really dubious.

The Indian and Chinese diaspora in the US are American Chinese and American Indians.

It's high time we stopped usurping their successes for ours.

Besides, why should we play it your way.

The thread was never about China in the first place.

Neither was it about the Indian or Chinese companies in America.

The thread was about Indian companies in India which have opened shop in America.

See page 5 or page 7 when Indians started bragging about Indian entrepreneurs in the US.

I'm Chinese American from Taiwan, but the China Chinese here rarely ever take credit For Chinese American achievement. Indians always do for NRI.

Lol kid. Wall Street and smart money uses BW as a contrarian indicator.

That holds true to getting a new H1B in. Once you are in the country you are as much a part of workforce as others. And I have seen multiple such cases being filed in last 4 years...

You are right about L1. L1 is intra company transfer so anyway the visa holder cant apply to another company without changing status. B1 does not allow you to work in the US anyway. It is only for business meetings etc and hence is out of purview of this discussion as its a visitor visa. H1 is the only transferable work visa and I am yet to know an H1B visa holder who didnt switch after reaching USA even once

Because my govt. doesn't deem me immature and unfit enough to block the originals.

Quite unlike the Chinese govt. and its behaviour towards its subjects.

Every country has laws. Google and Baidu follow the same laws in China. So why did mighty Google get its lunch eaten by
Baidu. If China has Baidu, it's good for China. The money stays in China. So why no Indian Baidu for IT superpowah?? It would be good for India. Ad money stays in India.

its simple, India is a joke in economy, technology and social development, so they have to steal the credit from other countries, even there is minimum contribution from indian like doing filling, answering calls, cleaning or maiding

OMFG!!!! Are you fuvkin serious?

Are you trying to deliberately act obtuse, so you don't need to provide proofs for the lies you have been spitting out here?

Read about contrarian here, they are technical indicators, not some damn magazine.

You don't even understand half the technical **** you blurt out. It's best you stick to CCP worship and posting your half-baked lies about Chinese intellectual superiority, which ironically you are a lively contrarian to.

I can just feel the intellect oozing out from chinese fanboys here.:woot:

I proved it right here Indians are superior to Chinese or any other combined nationalities in Entrepreneurship. Unless you can bring some proof to the table rather than the bullcrap and lies posted all over this thread, do not expect any replies to your rants.

india does have its own search engines but they are not as famous as google..simply because in india internet economy has just started to grow...companies like flipkart are doing good business...you should understand that entrepreneurs are not going to start what they can not sell...rivals for google and youtube will come up in india too but not yet :)

well, slave mentality explains it all, virtual business is the key to 21st, if you dont fight to have a strong hold in this filed, you will lose out..China is now the second largest online market after U.S and its annual revenue is very close to it and will surpass it within 2 or 3 years. these are $trillions market we talking about, you'd be stupid to have foreigners to take a big cunk of the share.. but surely Indian is continuing on their stupidity into future.

Kid, google the business week curse or the magazine cover indicator. I don't have time to teach you.

BW is like Time, mindless fluff that can't survive the age of internet news and blogs.

Didn't Newsweek (the entire company) get sold for $1 recently.

Only Indians masturbate to mindless rankings from $1 companies (not magazine, the whole company).

I also think subliminally Indians think they started Google and own Silicon Valley. Both are untrue, but that mindset actually works against them.

Wrong.

SS payments are deducted as well. As most IT workers on H1b are highly skilled they pay comparatively higher taxes than average US citizen.

In fact it is a loss to the Indian taxpayers, as they are not eligible to SS benefits unless they choose to Immigrate.

Since majority of workers do not immigrate, we are in fact funding US citizens benefits. This should be taken up by the GOI and SS should only be deducted if one chooses to immigrate.

Has anyone supervised or worked with an H1b employee ? They are anything but highly skilled. Their resumes are made of lies. I have seen so many cases of 24-26 yr olds with 5-7 years of working experience !!

Which means they started to work when they were like 17-20 years old !!!

That holds true to getting a new H1B in. Once you are in the country you are as much a part of workforce as others. And I have seen multiple such cases being filed in last 4 years...

An H1-B visa holder is not entitled to the same rights as an immigrant or citizen. It is perfectly legal to reject a H1-B visa transfer applicant, simply because of their visa status.

I am absolutely 100% positive.

P.S. I just did a quick search on monster.com

http://jobview.monster.com/Industri...rect-Hire-Job-New-Brunswick-NJ-108149849.aspx

No sponsorship visa (H1-B, etc) candidates at this time, sorry.
