Tea To Become The National Drink Of India

Interesting. Chinese were the first to discover Tea and drink it but now it became India's national Drink !!!

Also Taj Mahal is an Islamic architecture but yet India uses it as her own national icon.

I think hot tea goes very well with most Chinese food.

Also, TsingTao beer is awesome. It's not from Hong Kong though, it comes from QingDao (hence the name) up North.

Actually being from Singapore, I gotta say Chinese tea goes well with Indian food too. It somehow makes yer tummy feel loads lighter, kinda like speeding up metabolism and u can eat alot more. And you can get it in almost any Indian restaurant over here! :cheesy:

And yes TsingTao is real good beer. I like it better than Tiger anyday. I believe that brewery was actually established by Germans way back when they first appeared in China. The standards are very similar to what u get in Germany.

I've heard (could be wrong) that you guys also put spices in tea

We put spices like Ginger, bay-leaves, cardamom in tea while boiling. I even drank lemon tea with roasted powdered cumin and black-salt and sugar and the taste was awesome. People generally take Ginger Tea when someone gets cold.

Don't you have such thing in Pakistan.

Interesting . Indians were the one to produce the digit zero but now the whole world is using it .
Evil Bhartis at it again

On a lighter note, if Tea becomes the national drink what will become of the likes of :

Guru Beer
Haywards 1000 / 5000
Bag piper
Officers Choice
Jagadri No 1
Narangi
.. and so many more ? !!

Haha yeah, because it is sweet right?

Outsiders always prefer Chrysanthemum tea.

Chrysanthemum is very very popular here in Singapore dude. Especially because it is sunny, humid and hot pretty often, the drink is very refreshing in this type of climate:tup:

Yes, tea with spices are not only best in taste but are also healthier.
Tulsi tea is given to person having flu
Ginger tea is for person having cough.
so on.

Tea when prepared with certain plants becomes Ayurvedic medicine, useful in many diseases.

In China, we call tea "Cha".

(The pronounciation for this word is the same in both Mandarin and Cantonese).

And in South Asia, you call it "Chai"? How do you pronounce that?

Is it like ch-eye?

In punjabi we also call it cha. At least from wherei am from.

Nikkiya cha te la day.
