China always has Mongolia

This is about Mongolia, and China is cleaning its backyard, which is none of your business. :coffee:

that logic is little bit flawed. That deal was plagued with uncertainties due to increase of cost.thats a big reason of delay.plus,Gorshkov was going under massive refit, much much more than varayag.extensive amount of refit took a lot of time.remember,Gorshkov was a carrier cruiser, which could carry helicopters, not aircraft.they have to convert it to an aircraft carrier.

plus russia will start to buld a 80000 tons(approx) nuclear powered Aircraft carrier by 2017.thats much bigger than Varayag and close to super carriers.

Varyag was just an empty hull when it was towed in the port of Dalian, while Gorshkov has everything left.

Varyag got 60-70% completed before the collapse of USSR, after Ukraine has dismantled almost every parts of the ship to sell it for money, and only an empty hull left when China got to sign the deal.

To refit Varyag is a much greater amount of work than to refit that tiny Gorshkov.

And Varyag is in fact an improved model of Kuznetsov, it got 15 meters longer than her older sister, so its displacement is likely being much larger, 75000-80000 tons is most likely. :coffee:

actually, almost everything of Gorshkov had to be changed.Russians thought that only minor upgrade would do the work.thats why they charged $900mil.but after seeing amount of work, they charger nearly $2.3 bil(including some hike of actual cost).

i couldn't find the source from where i read about total refit, but i'm posting this(a rough sketch about refit)..

But on closer inspection there were underlying problems with the ship, some of which the Indian defense establishment must have recognized. The Gorshkov made only one long-distance cruise during its short service life, that coming in 1987 – the very year of its commissioning. The ship suffered a boiler room explosion in 1994, and that, along with its high maintenance costs, resulted in the Gorshkov’s retirement from service in 1996. Finally, its water purification system – necessary for the functioning of the steam turbine propulsion engines – was a disaster, requiring renovation and/or replacement of the steam propulsion system. This, along with the extension of the ships flight deck and the installation of a ski-jump ramp on its bow, has led to the escalation in the price for the Gorshkov’s refit.

Still, Indian pique at the ramped-up cost for the ship is understandable in light of mismanagement performed at the Sevmash shipyard, which undertook the refit of the Admiral Gorshkov without physical blueprints of the ship. The shipyard’s director general was fired in 2007 and placed under criminal investigation on suspicion of corruption – reportedly related to the Gorshkov affair. Yet despite the reports of sloppy work and inept handling by Sevmash of the project, Russia remains intent that India cover the escalating costs, warning New Delhi that it would be quite willing to simply hand the refurbished ship back to the Russian Navy. While the Russian Navy remains in need of an aircraft carrier, this threat is likely a bluff intended to keep India on board with the project.

and Varayag is not 75000tons AC,its a 63000-65000 tons AC.

Kuzy is 67500 tons, while Varyag is bigger than her older sister.

USSR was deliberately hiding the true size and displacement of Varyag, because that Turkish Straits is a very narrow and shallow corridor for a such large ship to pass through.

We did the same during the purchase of Varyag, if we did not hide the true statistics of Varyag, then Turkey may not even let that ship to go.

actually kuznetsov is a 58,600 tons carrier with Max-load.that means 63000-65000 tons for Varayag is justified.

^^^chinesetiger...tiger belongs to india and bangladesh..change your name to chinesepussycat...lol:rofl:

Actually tiger is the second most powerful beast after dragon in the Chinese Mythology, a winged tiger is even equivalent to the dragon in term of power.

India claims itself as the mighty giant tiger, but you have to behave like one. :coffee:

Before I forget, I have a little confession to make. China doesn't REALLY need Mongolia's resources. However, Mongolia's giant coal deposits are indeed closer to the surface and amenable to inexpensive surface mining. Also, gaining Mongolia's 1.6 million square kilometers of land will provide China with added strategic depth.

----------

China is the same size as U.S. and possesses equal mineral wealth

China is a 9,671,018 square kilometer continent with endless resources.

China and the United States are the same size with equally plentiful resources. The only significant difference is that China has to feed more people.

As I have mentioned in a different thread, China also has Mongolia (almost four times the size of California) next door. China can annex Mongolia's natural resources to supplement China's continent-sized mineral wealth.

Okay, I admit it. China doesn't really need Mongolia's natural resources, but it's a good excuse to bring outer Mongolia back into China.

It is true that we don't depend on Outer Mongolia's resources, but the more resources you control, the stronger you are.

During an outbreak of war, we won't be nice for sure, Outer Mongolia/SCS/ECS, all those territories are at our hands. :coffee:

to be unbiased , the chinese mythology might be correct, china is the dragon and will be most powerfull in future followed by india, the tiger!!.both economies are giant and emerging!

^^^i think you should explore west china more, might be more resources can be found!?!?!?

Yeltsin was fooled by his pro-Western advisers. In one swoop of the pen, he undid hundreds of years of Russian conquests. It was terrible strategy.

When NATO promised not to extend its borders right up to Russia, I was like "yeah right." Now, the Russians have lost the Baltic states and Poland to NATO.

Boris Yeltsin bought the Western hook, line, and sinker.

I love nationalists who want war. Without Nehru, we could never imprint Chinese superiority deep into the Indian psyche. I'm looking forward to the next Sino-Vietnamese War. We will explode their myth of beating the U.S.

This time, Vietnam will have no strategic depth. During the U.S.-Vietnam War, China served as an unlimited base of supplies for North Vietnam. Without military supplies, let's see how many weeks the Vietnamese military can last against the PLA.

Those Vietnamese have gotten uppity and written China's critical support out of their victory against the U.S. They need to learn that, without Chinese help, Vietnam is as weak as a baby.

When China wins the next Sino-Viet War, we MUST annex a large chunk of Vietnam. Otherwise, it will be difficult to hold our heads high when we run into Russians or the Jews, who are annexing chunk after chunk of the West Bank. Conquerors have to behave like conquerors.

showing true color now....... I don't understand what is the use of having IQ with immature mind.......... great empires fallen down in history by trying to occupy other countries........ you still not learned anything from history.........

@chinese tiger:The thread is about annexing Mongolia and it changed to AC and then Tigers... lolz on the right track..... keep it up ....

by the way varyag is not 80000 tonnes but 67000 tonnes

Idiot chinese kid.
You are living in Hongkong, Do you know mainlanders call you Hongkong_ren: dogs.

This disturbing video clip was forwarded to us to share with our readers.

Beijing University professor Kong Qing-Dong’s thoughts on Hong Kong people. It was his response to an incident on a Hong Kong mass rapid transit train (MTR).

The Beijing professor goes on and on, with a ripping diatribe, and sums it up with a conclusion that Hong Kongers also lack morals.

Borders are constantly changing. Any cursory look at historical maps will prove that.

Now that China is growing much stronger economically and militarily, I just want the borders to shift back to the Qing Dynasty map. Any Roman would agree with me.

You Indians should be the last to criticize. You have annexed many territories in the last 50 years. We intend to annex some of them back (e.g. the ones with Mongoloids).
