Pakistan to emerge as major bike maker in years ahead

Yeah it's annual, but this figure is few years old, I don't know either there is increase or decrease but one thing for sure is it will be still over 20% in case of banks and over 35% in case of leased from dealer

No wonder people prefer to pay cash . But if there was a finance option then more models could come in , better ones, which may be a little more expensive but more powerful , and they would be able to achieve sales as people could get them paying EMI s.

by the way why is it that people are not able to get loans for 2 and 4 wheelers there easily? why do you guys pay such high interest?

People can avail loan facility easily, infect many of 4 wheelers are on loan but loan for 2 wheeler is expensive so not economical as per my experience only people who really don't have any saving will go for loan otherwise they will prefer to wait and save money to buy it on cash.

on one of the most dangerous 4 x 4 tracks of world its Fairy meadows Jeep track ,2 persons manage to cover it have tremendous elevation of 1500 meters in 15 Km ( 1400 M From Starting Point of Track to 2900 M end of track ) on the way, pic is of my friend's bike :P

dont know about indian bikes can they survive on such rough tracks and can manage to take a adventure lover to its destination like this one :D :D

Majority of bike owners have a family of minimum 4 persons, so - this classic straight modal serve thier purpose best as they all can fit on one bike, IMO the new modals all good for young generation and until they are single because after marriage they have to change traditional way of how women sit on back seat and i don't thing it will happen within this decade. So, if you think IF Indian bikes are allowed in Pakistan will replace these classic modal and will overtake market than you are mistaken because
1) They will not be cheap as they are in India because on general Pakistan has 20% custom duty and approx. 5% other clearing charges on imports and other business expense - So a bike which cost $800 in India will cost more than $1000 in Pakistan which will be too expensive as Honda/Yamaha is not the only competitors there are brands which are sold at $400-$500 price tag
Well, if the trade plan is implemented it will mean reduction of duty to about 5% until anti-dumping charges are applied.
I am not very sure of the number percentage so would be glad if you can update me if i am wrong!

So in anycase, the import charges will not be that high, thus a good chance for the Indian manufacturers to capture market in Pakistan.
Yes Indian bikes will force local manufacturer to improve the quality and gadgets but classic design is not going anywhere in near future. IMO, Indian cars have better future in Pak market as compared to bikes.

Cannot say in this case. I think there's a better chance for Indian bikes than cars to capture market share in Pakistan.

Yes I agree with Raz here, purely on the CBR, without getting into what Pakistan has in comparison.

It is butt ugly and I would not be caught dead riding this death by plastic monstrosity.

My dream bike is a certain Ducati, which I think is going over to India, so I'm just saying, no India bias.

I'd prefer our old 125's to that monstrosity.
