If you ask a traditionalist in you country he/she would say that India is also great victim of cultural aggression....jokes aside think about the films your industry produces........do these films(without a couple of exceptions) actually reflect any of your age old culture??boys and girls are moving towards jeans and away from sarees and punjabis..........it is a matter of perspective........you can view it as subconscious aggression or conscious fusion!

I have actually noticed a lot of PDF Bangladeshis as of late saying Hindi/Urdu verses in threads. You can see our cultural "aggression" in PDF itself, where these guys talk in Hindi every now and then

and why are we supposed to wear punjabis/ sarees everytime ?

Go to an Indian wedding even in foreign countries, brides and grooms still wear traditional dresses while taking 7 phere... and there is no harm in accepting foreign customs unless you are letting go of your own roots

I am not asking you to wear it everytime.......you see the culture has shrunk down to weddings now......our culture as a whole(the subcontinent) is rarely reflected through our visual media and arts today........it is shrinking.....and one day it will go extinct!!

indian bengali tradition is full of hinduism influence. i dont care about pak channels but i dont want any indian channel here.

LOL Pak channels would mean they would show Star Plus and Sony anyways, that they are illegally showing in Pakistan. Most Pakistani channels are pretty much running Indian content anyways, so might as well take it straight from us

These people are fighting a losing battle.

I went to this years Sydney Bangladeshi mela and they were selling dvd's of illegally downloaded Hindi tv serials! I swear that stall was sold out in about 20 minutes, with all the hijab wearing Bangladeshi aunties thronging the stall. Almost caused a stampede

I do not agree. during martial laws in both Bangladesh and Pakistan, the fundamentalists tried to Saudize the societies and hence their own culture was undermined and the Indian culture crept in.
