Shame on China:Chinese children endure 'world's most dangerous school run'

400 Chinese-Tajikistan living the most remote mountainou areas near the border with Tajikistan ... hats off to these childern.
These pics clearly remind us today China still is a big developing country, although today China cities/towns situations made great progress, there'r some poor places much worse than city/town living conditions.

Above photos shot by CCTV reporters in 2011, Good news new road leads to the Pili village at the end of 2012.
(Only chinese news)
ChinaDaily:New road leads to Xinjiang Pili village and children go to school by new school bus
163 news: New road to Pili village at the end of 2012

Remember bro, currently China still is a big developing country.
China government or local officials just do all efforts to eliminate poverty and reduce the gaps between rich and poor areas, the development process need some times. Anyway 2012 new road lead to Pili village and I can see local officials treat these childern well and they have a very NICE school in the town.

When whole China society and Chinese ppl focus on this Pili village, i believe these Chinese-Tajikistan and their childern will get more policy aids and supports, all will have a good future.

They are our folks. I hope this article can help expedite the improvement of the infrastructure there. Dont let it being used as another piece of propaganda in the smearing campaign against us.

We should always be mindful there are still 150 million of our fellow countrymen living below the poverty line.

I don't understand with the GDP second biggest and foreign reserves 30% of the whole world,we can build world's longest high speed railways, highways, subways, world's biggest ports, train stations,airports..but we still make some of our children risk their lives to just go to school,we have mllions of millionares but we can't afford to give some of our children a decent education.China now has the world's most modern and glistening metroplis, but also has this poverty stricken backwater country in our west.

Tajiks live to the far west of Xinjiang southern area's tend to be underdeveloped, expect this to change within the next 5 years.

When I see those kids clinching to the steep rocks, and perhaps risking their lives, for only going to school, my heart is weeping...

Guys, especially those who live in China, we should all extend our helping hands, in addition to our mouth, to them. I have personally been sponsoring 2 little girls' schooling from poor families in Sichuan province for 5 years. Their addresses are 四川省广元市利州区白朝乡白朝村. Have any of you been there? I'd very appreciate if any of you could tell what the village is look like. I wish I could be there one day to see them...

That's how Deng designed China's reforms back in the late 1970s. Coastal and trade-oriented districts were allowed to introduce capitalism and infrastructure whereas rural districts were seen as places to keep the minorities there poor or serve as recruiting grounds for the armed forces, as tough country peasants were sought-after materiel.

Let's look at the positive aspect here. The pictures show lovely happy children willingly enduring the journey to get educated. Where else will you find kids so keen to acquire education? They look Muslim.
