You're exactly right.
Many Jews came from Germany and Germanic countries where the last name, regardless of religion, reflects the person's (ancestors') trade. Similar conventions are used all over the world, including south Asia.
Zimmerman simply means woodworker, or carpenter. All it means is that his ancestors came from a Germanic country, not that he is Jewish. In fact, his father is a Catholic.

Dude, don't try to find excuse in this desert. There's no excuse for it.
The guy should have deleted the pics the moment he received them. Or if you try to contend that he is himself a 'minor' (at 17), then tell me honestly, was he going to delete the pics when he turned 18? Bet your a$$ he wouldn't.
And where did I say that he produced child ****? Who cares who sent him where he got it from?
From your confidence, it seems only you know that secret that girls/boys sent him pics themselves without any solicitation as if he confided every secret in you!
Fact of matter is, wherever you get it from, storage of child **** tells less about the law and more about the character of the man - at 17, 6ft 4 inches, and beating the **** out of a 29 year old man, he was no child himself.
Take my advice, try not to defend him just for the heck of it, because you are blindly going so far that it speaks tons about your own character.
Oh, I have an interesting question for you - That main culprit in the rape and murder of the Delhi girl who got raped on the bus was also 17. Would you also paint him with the same brush as you do Trayvon Martin and exonerate him?
And in reply, try to avoid talking about the law, because in Trayvon's case, the law took its entire, exhausting course and thus you are in no position to criticize the outcome.

Let's put racism aside, but in US your reaction towards a black man charging towards you and a white man charging towards you would be quite different. Let's say if George Zimmerman shot a white man in self defence and found not guilty, there won't be any protests or out cry against this conviction. Now just because it is a black man got shot by a white police and everyone is making a big deal out of it, it is just pure hypocracy to me. It is a time for black community to stop playing the race card and paint themselves as the victims and start to clean up their own acts.

Well there is certainly merit in what you say, but as you point out, the experience of being black in the US or anywhere else where they are a minority, must be a difficult experience -- On the other hand beyond this reality, we should look more closely at how jurors reasoned whether to convict or acquit
The matter of fact, George Zimmerman didn't follow the police order to stay in the car and not follow the teenager. I think as a 17 yrs old teenager would over react to anyone stalking them, George Zimmerman didn't have the authority stop and question anyone without a crime occur or on suspicion only. No one know the motive behind Travon Martin aggression then fought George Zimmerman for no reason other than Travon Martin was fearful for his life. A dead person couldn't give his version of event leaded up to his dead. No eyes witness testify they saw everything happen from the moment George Zimmerman stepped out of the car and confronted Travon Martin to the time Travon Martin got shot and killed. I think George Zimmerman took it up himself to act as a cop without the authority to do so, he subsequent killed a innocent teen. He should be held liable for the action and should be convict of manslaughter.
