F-16 vs F/A-18 hornet

Hi friends its comparison between lockheed martin f-16 fighting falcon and boieng f/a-18 hornet. Which one is better have your say.F/A-18 Hornet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
F-16 Fighting Falcon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Whats the logic in comparing two entirely two different class of aircraft to each other ?? I don't see the point in such a comparison.

F-16 being a single engine fighter is to be compared to a single engine fighter of its class, F/A-18 is a totally different aircraft with double engine.

You are right , when even an F-16 and F/A-18 SH met in battle they will dis-engage immediately , Knowing that it is illogical that they should fight each other as they are of a different class.

A comparison is baseless considering this logic.
Same goes with F-16 vs MIG-29
And F-16 vs SU-30 MKI

* Conformal Fuel Tanks (CFTs) - This will give the F-16IN a combat range of 1700 km with 1500 kg weapons load.
* A Northrop Grumman AN/APG-80 AESA (active electronically scanned array) radar.[1] This is the same radar in service on the F-16 Block 60s in service in UAE.
* General Electric F110-132A engine with 143 kN full reheat thrust with FADEC Controls.
* Electronic warfare suites and infra-red searching.
* Advanced all-color glass cockpit.

Avionics

* Hughes APG-73 or Raytheon APG-79 Radar
he Super Hornet variant being offered to India, the F/A-18IN, is based on the F/A-18E/F model flown by the U.S. Navy and currently being built for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). Raytheon's APG-79 AESA radar is being offered on the aircraft. There will be a limited ToT on the radar, up to the level approved by the US Government. However, Raytheon has stated that the level of ToT offered will be compliant with the RFP requirements.[28] Delivery of the first F/A-18IN Super Hornets can begin approximately 36 months after contract award.[26]

when you can compare jf-17(single seater) with su-30 mki double seater then this comparison is perfectly fine.

gogbot comparing planes of different classes is one thing & discussing the hypothetical fight scenario b/w two planes is another thing, think a bit before u post
@inferno
none of em has got super cruise...

I think you have some mental illness, can you provide a post where i have compared JF-17 to a Su-30MKI ?? Don't paste the blame of others on me. If you are stupid enough it doesn't means all others are too.

no problem yaar itnee tension kyon le rahe ho. Just tell which one you think would be good for a air force.

Before posting BS kind of remarks & copy pasting info which all know it would have been better if you had asked or had understood the context in which the post was written, as a person having any kind of common sense can tell that F/A-18 is better performance wise then a F-16. But i guess people like you have no common sense to think from.

My vote goes to F 18 super hornet.

No match,i think India will get this with full TOT sence US is providing TOT to Brasil for just 36 f 18 sh.

From where the hell u heard that Americans are ready for a full ToT in case of F-18, they are not even ready for ToT in case F-16 & ur dreaming about ToT of F-18
