What's new

Pakistan Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud killed in drone strike.

good news that one more puppet is dead , probably he was going against his master (USA) going for talks with Pakistan so they kill him. now they will appoint another puppet and all this same blah blah " we will take revenge from pak army and its peoples " .... as now the peace talks is over .

Killing him would mean revenge attacks on our schools, buses , markets and Mosques.

Yes indeed , you aren't wrong , so how do we get out of this mess ? By cowardly stopping all military operations for some " peace with psychopaths " process and waiting for the terrorists attacks or by striking them hard and finishing this menace once and for all ? They are demoralized at the moment , this is the time for God's sake !

So, Nawaz Shrief goes to America and meets up with Obama. A very pleasant and progressive meet by all accounts. Drones are one of the subject of the talks.

Nawaz comes back and orders peace talks with Taliban. and a few days later there is a single drone strike. And later it turns out Hakeem ullah died in that attack.

A very interesting turn of events. Did Nawaz hand over a hit list of Pakistan's most wanted to the US? As far as yesterday's news, peace talks are a go - would this assassination place Pak govt in a stronger position? Or will ttp become even more violent?

We'll soon see the outcome of this development.

@Secur

There is no head to cut off - we need to attack its roots not leaves and branches.

You will have to cut the " head " too at some point , but I agree after we are done with the " roots " so that nobody can condemn/sympathize the death of a terrorists or support extremism/attacks in the country .

5 heads have been cut so far, has it worked?

Despite fighting 11 years of War with militants, not a single BOSS of any terrorist group killed by Pak Armed forces. While TTP are successful in assassinating LT. GEN, MAJ.GEN's of our army. Just shows the epic ineptness of Armed forces and their Intel setup in FATA.

anyway!
its a slap on stupid faces of those, who still argue to stop drones the only succsessfull weapon against terrorists Terrorism?

I wonder how many more civilians would have to pay the price for the killing of this one man. They would certainly increase their activities tenfold now and all claims about how they are cornered are far from the truth.

Already US Military exposed INDIA-AFGHAN govt colaboration of terrorism inside Pakistan Today by NY and US News Orgs.

Also now adays soo much hipe about Illegal Drone Strikes around the world, Us just want to show that these drone strikes are very good and target only Terrorists... GAME ON!

I just googled to read the news about India collaborating with Afghanistan to instill terror in Pakistan, but the first 20 answers I received was how terrorism is connected to Pakistan. So I'm concluding that Google must belong to Zionist Jews (because I know that it doesn't belong to evil Yindoos).

Don't mind pal but you should be the last person on the face of the earth to say this all. Mukti Bahini, Prabhakaran, NA - we all know India's association with terrorism. So can we now keep our posts relevant?

One should never feel happy at the shedding of human blood. But I would make an exception in this case. Hakimullah Mahsood was indeed a butcher of the first order. His crimes are too many to enumerate.

I hear so many people scared stiff of what is going to happen. For heaven’s sake, if you are scared of what Taliban would do, then you have lost before you have started. How can you feel sorry for the man who kills Col. Imam and then puts the video for all to see! Shame on the people who grieve for the death of this brutal criminal of humanity.

Person who was directly or indirectly responsible for the untimely death of PTI Minister & 2 MPAs has been finally despatched to hell. Instead of feeling pleased, Imran Khan is looking distressed at this death; as if his hero had died!

I am happy that talks with Taliban are not likely to take place. Talks can only succeed if you negotiate from position of strength. Talk by all means but only when Taliban are begging for it.

P.S.

I still don’t support drone attacks by the US and never will no matter how beneficial these maybe. I wish it was Pak Army who had done it.

Rather than being demoralized this might be a rallying point for them and any splinter groups will join up. They might decide to open multiple fronts up with their Punjabi offshoot as well. Perhaps even Karachi would erupt since the Rangers were too busy in cleaning criminals they forgot terrorists. So as such, this strike does not bode well for us by any normal analysis. Perhaps in some hopeful land beyond the burqa trees there is a chance that they are in utter disarray after this strike and end up throwing down arms and saying sorry.
At this point, we have no idea of their response other than speculation but in all certainty it will be bad. The Afghan Taliban might end up tolerating the Karzai government and they'll handle their troubles as they always do on their own. What we will be left with is a possibly 100000+ strong force of well trained militants throughout Pakistan along with 3-4 million more "Almost willing" supporters who will gladly ruin any chance of an economic recovery.
