What's new

Pakistan Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud killed in drone strike.

^ After Baitullah Mehsud died, even then Pakistanis were dancing around that TTP is finished but that didn't happen.
Anyways Sajna Mehsud has been elected unanimously by TTP shura as it's acting Chief.

It took the Americans to kill bin Laden, Kashmiri, and now Hakimullah. Hopefully Saeed, Dawood Ibrahim, and morewill follow soon.

I find it funny that some people here are saying Hakimullah was a RAW agent. Are they implying he was Hindu? Or just a bad Muslim doing the bidding of Hindus?

Other people are saying he was killed to hurt the peace process. Do these members really think its worth making peace with people who shoot little girls for wanting to go to school?

This is just a small win in removing the cancer of Islamic terrorism from Pakistan.

A Jihadist Commander with very poor english was announcing that even though Pakistani Media tried to spread the lie that Hakimullah & Sajna were not in good terms but acc. to hin he was a Dost-e Raast of Hakimullah & Hakim used to consult him a lot.

BTW Geo reporting more than 20 died in the drone strike yesterday.

Where are those conspiracy theorist who says TTP is Indo-US proxy against Pakistan.

PESHAWAR: A meeting of the Pakistani Taliban's Shura (Council) on Saturday named Khan Said Sajna aka Khalid as the next chief of the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan militant organisation a day after a US drone strike killed its former leader Hakimullah Mehsud in North Waziristan.

Most of the members of the council were present in the meeting which was held at an undisclosed location though all members could not attend it.

Said, who is 36, is credited with masterminding a 2012 jailbreak in which the Taliban freed 400 inmates in the northwestern city of Bannu.

The council was considering four names for the post which included Khan Said, Umar Khalid Khurasani, Mullah Fazlullah and Ghalib Mehsud.

The South Waziristan Taliban chief, Khan Said Sajna alias Khalid, was tipped to succeed Hakimullah Mehsud as TTP chief.

Chief of Mohmand Taliban Umar Khalid Khurasani was also a strong contender for the slot as he was the only surviving senior Taliban commander who had directly commanded operations under Hakimullah.

Mullah Fazlullah, chief of the Swat Taliban, was another senior commander but he was unlikely to replace the assassinated TTP chief for not belonging to the Mehsud clan.

Hakimullah Mehsud and five other Taliban militants were killed and two others wounded on Friday when a US drone targeted the TTP chief's vehicle as he left a meeting at a mosque in Dande Darpakhel area of North Waziristan.

There are good numbers of factions within talibans and differences within them are very well know... The guy ur quoting might belong to the faction supporting Sajna as chief, but as per news reports their is another meeting taking place of other taliban factions/leaders @ Nooristan and they dont want Sajna as their chief...
i dont care who is the next chief, i jus pray they all DIE

You do or not but strategy makers should do because it seems that TTP now going to split clearly into two groups

1. who want to war in Pakistan
2. who do not want to war in Pakistan

I personally think that this is better as per Pakistani strategy makers point of view now they can easily make policy to handle both kind of groups.

It is Very Ironic that when ever there is a Crisis in Pakistan , its head of state is never present in his own country .. Very pathetic & shameful
10 pages to discuss the merits and demerits of killing terrorist scum?

You Pakistanis seriously need to get your act in order man .....
Well at least we Discuss , unlike you people who blindly Agree with whatever you Media & Gov feeds you .

I think it you who need to get their act straight.

Lol these Talibani scums have a bharati cheerleader? How cute. :D

Respected sir, we are ALL happy about this bastard getting the shaft, there's no doubt about it. His death is as important as the death of a rabies infected dog, its insignificant and not worth our time for discussion. Though i tend to agree with your point that we need not worry too much about the rein of terror that is about to be unleashed, however one must care about the civilian and military loss of life that would result in. We have already lost too many of our brothers and sisters.

And aren't we the pathetic ones for tolerating this intransigence? For God sakes we have one of the most toughest and well drilled military machines out there, instead of eliminating these pigs with an intensified military action we are actually talking to them.

The only entity the citizens of Pakistan should be afraid of is the State, and not a bunch of criminals. I have said it before and i will say it again, an operation in NW is long overdue. The country needs to be rid of these terrorists, their safe havens need to be destroyed and a military operation needs to be employed with no mercy being shown to these pigs. Its such a shame that our politicians think that talking to these criminals is going to lead to a prolonged peace. It certainly will not, it will only embolden them and strengthen them. Its Military Strategy 101 that you never let your enemy regroup, while we on the other hand are offering them this chance on a Golden Platter.

Let us look at the events coolly.

APC declared that we would like to find a solution to terrorism thru dialogue. Very good if you can resolve a problem without fighting, what could be better? However dialogue has two sides. Kindly refer to:

The news in the Guardian states:

Quote

But he made clear that any deal acceptable to the TTP would have to lead to the imposition of Sharia law in the country and an end to CIA drone strikes in Pakistan's troubled borderlands which have killed scores of senior militants.

It is unlikely the government could deliver either demand even if it wanted to.

He said the TTP's campaign would not end after the withdrawal of US combat troops fromAfghanistanby the end of next year. Many Pakistanis blame the US presence in the region for the instability that has plagued the country in the last decade.

"America is one of the two reasons we have to conduct a jihad against Pakistan," he said. "The other reason is that Pakistan's system is unIslamic, and we want it replaced with an Islamic system”

From this it is logical to conclude that dialogue with Taliban under Pakistan’s Constitution is impossible.

My question is not directed to supporters of the anti-Pakistan forces, but I ask all Pakistanis who have deep seated love for the Pakistan as conceived by the Quaid and the founding fathers:

Firstly; was Pakistan created so that “anti-Pakistan Theocrats” who were dead against creation of Pakistan should take it over? Taliban don’t believe in democracy, so once they get power Pakistan is doomed for ever.

Secondly, Pakistan has no control over Drones, how can we stop these? Obviously TTP want us to go to war with US. This would surely result in Pakistan Army being destroyed and thus make it easier for the TTP to take over. Why can’t Imran Khan & Nawaz Sharif foresee this?

Finally, drones are from the US, why don’t TTP go and attack US targets in Afghanistan or in the US. (Instead they are in cohorts with Afghani Intelligence to weaken Pakistan state). Why kill innocent Pakistani civilians in revenge? Kill Pak Army if you think that they are siding with your enemy but how an ordinary civilian is responsible?

Despite the above that misguided Taliban Khan is crying his heart out that his beloved butcher of Col. Imam is now dead? Why don’t you cry for the thousands of innocent Pakistanis killed by the hell bound Hakimullah?

I have never claimed monopoly on patriotism but this deep love for the self-confessed worst criminals in the history of humanity somehow baffles me. Either a section of Pakistan polity has no love for Pakistan State of they are a bunch of cowards who would rather sell Pakistan than face the Taliban menace head on. But then I am old man who has seen Pakistan from her birth, who cares what I think.?
