What's new

Pakistan second most unpopular country in the world.

The first and easiest guess is because of the Delhi gangrape case. It was discussed for weeks together and every statistic about rape in India and the way it's women are treated was disseminated.
China and Japan too are big losers this year mainly because of the Senkaku island controversy that began last year, I guess.

Ok - Add 6 points back to neglect that effect, still only 40% people have positive views about India

 what has India which is circa 110% better off comparatively- have to do with your need to make excuses? afterall-you made the ridiculous statement of thinking that polling reflects only the sentiments of those polled.

LOL!!! Pakistan even at last position will not be surprising, however incredible India just 3 points above is surprising. :partay:

Pakistan second ‘most unpopular country’ in the world: Poll – The Express Tribune

Pakistan came second last with only 15% looking upon it favourably, while 55% rating it as “mainly negative.”

LONDON: Pakistan is one of the most unpopular countries in the world, only a rank above the least popular Iran, an annual poll for the BBC World Service revealed on Thursday.

More than 26,000 people from around the world were asked to rate 16 countries on whether their global influence was “mainly positive” or “mainly negative”.

Pakistan came second last with only 15% looking upon it favourably, while 55% rating it as “mainly negative.”

The poll was conducted for the BBC by GlobeScan and PIPA, and quizzed randomly selected people in 25 countries.

Most popular

Germany is the most popular country in the world despite well-publicised protests against its insistence on austerity measures within the European Union.

Some 59% of those polled rated Germany as having a positive influence, while at the other end of the spectrum, Iran came last with only 15% looking upon it favourably.

Even in Spain, which is suffering from stringent austerity measures due to a German-led financial rescue package, 68% said they felt Germany had “a mainly positive influence in the world”.

Respondents in Greece, which has seen anti-German protests depicting Chancellor Angela Merkel as a Nazi for her insistence on fiscal belt-tightening, gave it the worst rating with 52% saying it was a bad influence.

Germany displaced Japan at the top of the table, with the Asian giant’s popularity falling from 58% last year to 51%.

Canada and Britain scored second and third, both with 55 % positive ratings.

We the Pakistanis have turned our beautiful country into $hit hole by importing all the tribal and terrorists from Afghanistan.

So sad to see.

What I am puzzled is not to see Afghanistan in this list be it good or bad.

Or Afghanistan is no longer a country under the able leadership of Kharazai. It is now merely a little state of USA perhaps.

peace

p.s. Us Pakistanis must wake up and get ourselves recognized for good things instead of evil ones.

Afghanistan is a cancer that has spread to Ilaqa ghair of Pakistan. Thus our Ilaqa ghair is getting the same "injections" that Karazai gets 3 times a day and 3 times a night.

Anything coming from British Media toss it in Dustbin !!! One of the biggest Racist ***...*oles!!!!

Fauj, can you explain to me why did Pakistan encourage the taliban post Russian exit?

was the fear that the afghan govt of then would be pro India, ensure in hindsight , what we now know was a bad call in having a relationship w/ the Taliban?

Same reason why Indians "encourage" Northern Alliance.

Afghanistanis were selling themselves. Pakistan bought one group, Indians bought another.

Too bad for Pakistan, when our group sold itself to a higher bigger aka Arabies. Son in some sense we got sidelined, but many in Pakistan still kept on hoping in vain that Mullah Omer is still in our camp.

I don't know the history of india with afghanistan. India was pro NA since when? and did India fund their NA wars like pakistan did for the taliban to take control over AF?

Cant say I'm surprised. Several countries have had their citizens murdered by terrorists who are armed trained and funded by the Pakistani military and government.

Such Polls gives indication but cannot be taken as gospel truth. Usually done to please certain group of audiences. Additionally 26K is big sample be it's not significant to reflect true intention/ thought process.

Any way since I'm writing I remember those very popular lines... fist well in this context...

Badnam hue to kya hua,
Badnam hue to kya hua ..... wah wah gaur farmayian...

Badnam hue to kya hua,
Humara nam to hua!!

Well it just shows the Power of the Western Media both in print but more importantly Television. Look at all the negative publicity CNN and BBC give to Pakistan. When do they show anything positive about Pakistan. There are a lot of Positive news that comes out of Pakistan but they ignore it at the behest of their Zionist Masters.
