Only way to make the Humvee bomb resistant is to redesign it from ground up. Its flat underside makes it impossible right now to be a successful IED resistant now matter how much armor you put in. Even if it didn't penetrate, flipping the vehicle will kill or wound the occupants.

We have managed to turn Toyotta Hilux into bomb proof which is good if not great Hummer is way better than this Hilux but best thing is to more and more MRAP

Sorry but thats just like converting an SUV or civilian truck as bomb resistant. Depending on where it hits, but if underside, its almost guaranteed destroyed. Same for Humvees.

Yes but we lack funds if had money we would have gotten large number of MRAP and may be with TOT but we seriously are shot of funds

I prefer we opt for these 1000 Units for Permenent solution

and the US machines for special cases

Anti-mine protection is provided with use of double layer, V-shaped steel floor, and additional steel plates under the seats, which are attached to the roof of the vehicle. This provides anti-mine protection of level IIa under any wheel, and level IIb under the center of the vehicle in accordance to NATO STANAG.


Unit Cost : $600,000 / Unit

We could have bought 330 APC units from Serbia which look Fantastic and are great design

There is already a controversy on the lazar purchase by the police..... its said tht the serbs bribed the police chief...
