Israeli president heads to India to support ‘green revolution’

Israel’s former president Shimon Peres is traveling to India on an economic mission aimed at boosting trade and launching a large multinational project in food and water technology, Israel Radio reported on Thursday.

Peres will meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi during the three-day visit in a bid at improving economic and trade ties between the two nations.

A highlight of the trip will be Peres’s participation in the launch of a joint Israeli-Indian-Australian project for technological research and development.

The project is part of the “Second Green Revolution,” a far-reaching drive led by Modi to improve local agriculture.

Peres finished his term as Israel’s president in July 2014 and now heads the Peres Center for Peace in Tel Aviv, which works for regional cooperation and peace in the Middle East.

India is the technologically backward country .........but Israel has multiple achievements in this field ...........sharing is the way to make earth a better place
