Saudi Arabia ends Yemen air campaign - Operation Restoring Hope started

This day will go down in military history as one of the most hilarious ones. A country goes to war all of a sudden and then stops all of a sudden, and no body knows WTF just happened.

I guess, military historians have now to create a new category to analyze wars: The Saudi Category.

That happens when you put a new King's 30 year old son in charge of the army, like everything is a game.

Not interested in posting stuff of Huthis defeats on ground. That doesn't satisfy us, the only way for our satisfaction is Huthis surrender and submitting.

But dog of the US, who defeated the Houthis? When did they surrender? When did they submit to Saudi arabia? I missed all that, pleasy reply. Thanks

I believe you are the well known Kurd.. Made another account to hide his embarrassment of being a Kurd, in other words, 3rd class citizen in Iran.

Anyway, simply the war is not over.

After this laughable fiasco, Saudi military should change its uniform to abaya. This will better suite them:

Because they accomplished the objectives of the first phase? Or is because Iranian ongoing humiliation through preventing her from entering Yemenite air and naval space or both?

But but but, I thought those Saudi's wouldn't stop until the Houthis UNCONDITIONALLY surrendered? Did they all give there AK's to 'king' Salman?:D:D

That is hilarious.

Poor Saudis. Their cowardice did not allow them to do a ground operation. They accepted defeat!

Saudis did not accomplish anything. Saudis just announced their unconditional defeat. They did not have even enough courage to negotiate their defeat and save some face. They just announced their complete defeat on TV. Hourhis remain in charge on the ground.

No dear, the Houthis have doing exactly nothing they haven't already been doing. Saudi Arabia probebly ran out of guided bombs, and Obama pushed them to stop the raids. Look it up on google news, filled with articles about the US pushing them to quit. All those idiots have achieved is being Al Qaida's airforce, and nothing more. Not ONE inch of Houthi territory has been regained. Well, that's Saudi competence for you.
give me a link, I only see people on twitter saying it's over..

anyway, the Saudi got badly exposed, 80 billion down the toilet every year, 0 expeditionary capability, not even just across the fence vs a shoeless militia :haha:

is this just a unilateral declaration of the end of the bombing or is there a roadmap for Yemen with the Houthis, saleh loyalists party to it ?

BBC is reporting it, I have put the link up there in the thread, so it is legit.

Saudis have announced their defeat.

Their Generals are about to change their uniform to Abayas.

As for Saudi military budget of 80.9 billion dollars a year (third worldwide after US and China), the result is here to see.

They could not even take over 10 centimeters of Houthis territory.

Laughable military. The joke of world's military history.

Honey, you're hurting your jaw for nothing. Decisive Storm operation objectives were completely accomplished. Their air force, air defense, ammo stores, ballistic missiles, military basis and HQs were all destroyed in comparison to only 10 Saudi casualties. Now, the phase two starts with new name. It's not over. Your dear brothers are not out the slaughter house yet.

Good, good, now the operation 'Saving Face' has started. Houthis never owned those jets or air defenses and were never going to use them. Prime objective of this invasion was pushing Houthis back and restoring Hadi's rule which are not achieved, now humiliated again after 1991, the second phase of operation aka 'Saving Face' has started.

One of the posts of a Saudi member on the first day of invasion:

Yemeni Foreign Minister : Bombing will not stop until Houthis withdraw from Sana'a Capital. :azn:

And your own posts:

Pick one of those two options:

1- Hadi was the guy who is the first ever democratically-elected president, he was elected by 8 million Yemenis and that is approved by national, regional and international observers. Houthies had dealt with him as such in the first place but when they found that he was weak they decided to take over Yemen.

2- Your brothers will be trampled on by Wahabis and all you can do about it is only watching and crying.
Unless they surrender, there will be ground forces from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and Sudan.
You guys never cease to amaze me. Save face bro, save face.

indeed, saudis' faux power exposed to the world, no Pakistan army, no Saudi invasion... I'll bet even the rescue of their diplomats was probably just a few saudi grunts embedded with a US commando team who wished to stay under cover

Sauds have 0 capability, a useless infantry and maybe a handful of tough guys in SF (all useless without the backup required for SF units to function)

Let's not forget the objectives:

1) Houthis to unconditionally surrender
2) Houthis to leave all areas they seized
3) Houthis to give up all their arms
4) Had to be restated as President

Which of these have been achieved so far?
