That is stupid. Iran does not even care. To illustrate the point, you seem to be ignorant of the fact that even Gwadar's electricity comes from Iran. The Gwadar is not even connected to Pakistan's national electric grid. It is connected to Iran's national grid.

Because Iran gets money by selling electricity ... its not charity. We may also sell electricity to Pakistan in future. Or buy from Pakistan. That does not prove anything when it comes to geo strategy.

China is not Stupid and Iran is not so naive to allow China to do that ... why would Iran allow China to fund Both Gwadar and Chabahar... The Chabahar Port is causing so much heart burn for Pakistan.. Same goes for Iran with respect to Gwadar. Money Speaks...and Rules.

Only heart burn is cause by CPEC to our East my Delhi slum dweller with russian name friend, were all happy for Iran, Pak Iran gas pipeline was urgently needed. The CPEC can be extended to Iran easily, interesting times ahead.

Too bad none of these countries border India eh, so sad.

Don't try and compare yourselves with India which is on an altogether different level. You guys are nonentities as far as the world is concerned. Don't try and punch above your weight or you'll land up with a bloody nose!

:lol:we will look after our interests come what may, you should know this india should try to give us a bloody nose and see the response
On the Contrary, if not Indians then somebody else like China, Russia or EU will fund Chabahar. This is infact bad news for Gwadar. The Central Asian landlocked states, China and Russia can get a safe access to sea through Iran rather than the precariously risky and dangerous AfPak.

Iran will become the main Player in the region in the Great Strategic Game. And this diminishes the so called "importance of Pakistan" for regional peace and stability.

This Iran deal is Bad Bad news for Pakistan. The Saudis are furious with this deal. Pakistan is in catch 22. The Relationship with Iran and Pakistan speak for themselves.

India is laughing all the way for its gambit of putting some of its eggs in Iranian basket during sanctions will pay off. Expect the two way trade between Iran and India jump exponentially...be it in energy and infrastructure. I bet now China will also trade more with Iran than Pakistan. Your CPEC will be put on secondary and the primary focus of China will be Iran for its energy security.

Pakistan could loose its importance for China vis a vis Iran.

This is Pakistan's worst nightmare ... Iran's dominance in the region ... strategic, economic and even cultural.

Good News for India, China, Russia ... Bad news for Pakistan, Saudi Arabia.

:rofl:we are on ok terms with the iranians economic corridor is going ahead regardless

Iran will simply link up to it

Our held up energy and gas deals will go full ahead now and any energy china requires will mostly go straight through Pakistan, same goes for the GCC

Iranian sanctions being lifted is good for the region but it still dosent mean Pakistan sitting bang in the middle wont do its utmost to block india

First of all,
Because Iran gets money by selling electricity ... its not charity. We may also sell electricity to Pakistan in future. Or buy from Pakistan. That does not prove anything when it comes to geo strategy.

No, actually it is charity. Pakistan often does not pay Iran. Go and check the news.

It proves that Gwadar is dependent on Iran. Its electricity is coming from Chabahar's power plant. Furthermore, it does not even have a refinery or oil pipeline. Ocean going ships visiting a port need to refuel, each needs thousands of tonnes of fuel.

Beside, you are forgetting that Gwadar depends on Afghanistan to gain access to Central Asia (the primary purpose for which it is being built). Iran already shares border with central Asia.

So stop this childish game. Iran is a mature country and does not care. If Pakistan prospers, well and good. The jealousy is on the other side.

Better ask Iranian members in this forum

@2800 @Serpentine @haman10

Iran will do what is in its interest. Geopolitical decisions are made based on interest.

@SOHEIL @yavar @Serpentine @2800
@haman10 and others.
Please share your opinion.

In fact this deal is a setback to KSA ,Pakistans mentor .
Chabhar is a business and investment project.Iran is good in business something that Pakistan cant understand.
They know how to make through projects unlike Pakistans one and only CPEC.
This agreement has nothing to do with Chabahar. Kids these days create threads with the due respect to the OP.

I need to ask some of the Naive Indians posting rubbish here as always, go to Google.com and type "Asia Map" then double click and look at a map of Central Asia, take a deep breath and study it closely, save yourself a lot of embarrassment.

Troll thread etc, etc.
Note: Pakistan already has access to Central Asia through China. Karakorum Highway is already linked up to Central Asia. I can't find those pictures, but i know for a fact that Pakistan is already connected to Central Asia.

First of all, congrats! Secondly, no this deal has nothing to do with Chabahaar, but Chabahar can be affected by this deal. It can become sour for the Indians who may have to forget their central asian port as China can and will spend more than India and buy that port from Iran.

I was just spanking the troll. He was really craving for it.

Jealousy? ???? We hate india not iran

Best of luck to iran, but you can surely expect and accept that Pakistan will do its utmost to hurt our enemy

For Pakistan the economic corridor is a directlink from the sea straight to china.
This route is strategic not just economical

The GCC or arabs will never use an Iranian port, China will go straight through Pakistan (you expect china to go through central asia and all through northern iran?) If anything it will link iran to this network

Gwader is developing fast, keep up with the news and developments its full steam ahead

Central asian states and beyond will use both why put all your eggs in one basket

This could help both IPI and tapi eventually

There is plenty of business for both ports the only problem wr gave is with the indians

No body can buy anything. Let's not forget that per Iran's constitution, not even a centimeter of Iran's land can be sold to a foreigner nor any foreign military can have a base in Iran. The rest are business deals. Pay transit fees and pass through Iranian territory, if Iran agrees.
