Exports Fall by 45% Despite Modi's 30 Foreign Trips

In my humble opinion Modi's world tours are just his sweet revenge for his international travel ban after he committed genocide of Muslims in Gujarart. These international trips are just for his ego not to promote India.

:lol::lol: Man these people are so funny and lame . By your logic Somalia will also have a controlled deficit because both exports and imports are at floor levels :rofl:
Modi has failed to keep the world demand up.

Trade deficit has also narrowed unfortunately.
Trade deficit narrows to $9.77 bn in October | Business Standard News

Correct me , If I am wrong

Exports will fall if there is less global demand . So nothing to do with Trips or decisions of Modi Ji .
Nobody buys anything from Intolerant India anymore.

There was no international travel ban . US was the only country that refused visa and that too at the behest of the Congress party.

What Congress forgot to mention here is that more then 40% of our all exports consist of commodites or their end products {PetroChemical Products,Steel,Steel Utensils ,Iron ore etc}and as they have lost around 50% to 70% of their value since UPA's departure it will impact our Export and Import figures.....

And still India growing 6% ? and china economy drop because of this export drop. In-credible India or Un-credible India

India is consumption-driven economy, not export driven.

Exports have fallen for all the countries whose bulk of it was made up of commodity items.

During the 80s till 2010s era a lot of country chiefly china gained massively through Labour Arbitrage and lot many other countries gained from exporting commodities to China.

This cycle's wheel has stopped as of this present decade. China's export engine is also grounding to a halt further adding to the woes.

India although big was a cog in this cycle. Hence the news ( on expected lines )

If you have stock holdings in such firms producing commodity items, divest NOW and invest in stocks of firms whose products require skills like automobiles, pharmaceuticals etc.
I have investments in Energy :( took a big hit. But, I'm still holding.
I made a recent investment in aviation, one of the largest budget airlines of India, Indigo, recently offered IPO, almost 50% in a matter of few days! I'm expecting atleast 70% return from this, within next 2-3 months.
Now, I think, I'm going to buy that house :D

:lol::lol: Failure after failure, when will india ever recover?

A couple month ago, the overall sentiment in India was like "Move Over, China! Now we are THE fastest growing economy in the world", and they made sure the whole world get the message.

Dude there is absolutely no relation to the message you quoted and the graph you have posted.

By consumption driven economy, he meant was Indian economy was less dependant on exports, or foreign investments than China is.

Indian exports will recover when the world economy recovers.

Actually, no, both seem about the same.

We are discussing about only mercantile exports here. Yes, Services Export of India is very large compared to its mercantile export , and unlike India's mercantile trade, Service exports are growing , although at a small rate now. This when the global service trade is falling.
