Uri Attack: Bangladesh Stands With India, Says Envoy

The affiliation between these two nations is very frosty. What should be done to get better the relation between these two nations? I don't think Bangladesh can have good next of kin with Pakistan until Pakistani govt. officially express regret for the brutal crime the army did to civilians during liberation war.

India and Bangladesh have very hot bond. Can we expect Pakistan and Bangladesh also having same warm relation? Will Pakistan govt. apologize for 1971 war crimes? Its not good to see two Muslim nations have bad relation with each other.

I think the relationship can only improve if the two countries cooperate with one another on state level or civilian level. Pakistan is in refutation, we hardly ever discuss Bangladesh, be it in text books, universities or on tv channels. Whatever little is discussed is never a neutral analysis, and is mostly skewed and selective history. Will there ever be cordial relationships between Bangladesh and Pakistan? I don't think so. One reason is already mentioned in the question, that is, Pakistan is not likely to apologize. Second reason is India. Owing to Pak-India rivalry India will never want Bangladesh and Pakistan having any meaningful relationships, and India has quite an influence on Bangladesh.

Around 70% of Bangladeshi people have good impression of India (according to pew)....that will be roughly what support Hasina has too.

According to pew, about 13% of Pakistanis have favourable view of India and its about 15% in reverse.

Absolutely not true .... Social media is indicating the complete opposite.

Uh huh, yeah sure. If that were true any self respecting bunch of people would cause even larger protests out in the streets and shut whole cities down...something that could not be hidden from world's eyes.

Few rag tag jamatis getting medicated with lead means nothing to BD people majority. If they did matter, then its just as bad...since they stand so idly by and take it on the chin...illustrating what BD people are like. Either way the reality is not good as far as BD people "support" for jamati causes is concerned.

So yeah I appreciate Hasina continuing to kow tow to India and slapping time and again even those BD types that paint her as some tail wagging dog lady. Actions speak much louder than defence board theories and hot air.

It means nothing. I want a direct source article/study/survey with your claims....not excuses about "it was years ago and it was on ICG". Anyone can claim anything.

I can also say that ICG did a study and said 90% Bangladeshis love India....it was few years back etc. It does not hold any water though without a link like I provided for pew.

In last election 5% of the people voted. I still remember when people were dancing in the street after Indian puppet govt. was killed in 1975. I am sure 75% of the people will dance again when this govt. wiped out from faces of the earth !!
