In fact I cant even understand this color theory at all.North people from UP,Bihar,Bengal etc works here and lives here ,so far most of them are one inch less than native Keralites and way darker than us .
In north perhaps you meant about Punjabis,NW areas then they may have some prejudice .If rest of cowbelts have that disease then it is quite ridiculous.

Honestly saying not a single keralite is ready to do the jobs of manual labours in our state.

There is no special preference or love to anyone .They are good in labour works and dont have any lacklustre approach .
For us ,if you give money for labour they have to do their job perfectly.

India can obviously buy and grow them anywhere but for those factories in West Bengal, it was more convenient to source them from East Bengal.

Religious tensions? West Bengal is comparatively peaceful in terms of communal tensions. Maharashtra and Gujarat have faced the deadliest religious tensions in India but still they are highly industrialized than other states. Your logic makes no sense.

I am not belittliing the Bangladeshis .
But infilitration and pole vaulting created a lots of problem in India .
Bihar has their BD ghettos and WestBengal also a lots of them.
Now situation was already bad in this state but advent of section of stupid politicians and further exploitation of infiltrators creates a lots of issue in those states .

Most of the issues with the Bihar, Bengal and UP can be traced back to

1) High population growth.
2) Poor political setup, politics based on caste and minority appeasement.
3) Close proximity with nations like China.
4) illegal inflitration (though a recent phenomena but playing its part in politics)
5) Outdated infrastructure.

Bihar is a good industrial state and it started its decline in the last 3 decades, even before its bifurcation.

I am answering to a OP who want sharia from his bottom of his heart but camouflages it with south Indian nationalism.

Look at the population of UP .Around 22 crore .22 crore people with majority of them dont have any education ,facilities etc .
Combined with Bihar ,you have a head ache of more than thirty crore in 1.25 billion people.
In addition to this we have nothing for good politicians like Mulayam,Akhikesh,Mayawati,Lalu etc.
Only decent guy in Bihar is Nitish Kumar .
Lack of resources and extortion of business mens gave them this pathetic condition.

Perhaps he dont know the reality of ,poverty , difficulties and enslavement .
Some of them are settled here with their family ,one of their girl recently topped in a malayalam exam.Our older generations suffered all of this humiliation (only after 1947).Because of their hard work most of the Keralites are affluent .
When we see the committment of those poor people towards their jobs we can actually the understand the magnitude of the failure of their own govt run by their own people.

Interesting article. The South does have a different approach to things, one that seems to have worked in improving quality of life. Hopefully it can be applied everywhere in India. I've noticed threads like these elsewhere too.

In the South, the least developed state is Karnataka and it's because all other states are non-Congress states. That's about it.
