Hi dear members if some senior member here analysis the statement of PM in more depth
I think Pakistan already knew that paf is not getting anything in future from USA as per the present policy of American government so that's the reason he is trying to warn them in his own tone beside this I think Chinese are willing to open our credit line specially for dual engine jet
And that can be j11 or j16 it depends on the maturity of their own engine if not they can still use su35 leverage on Russians to forgo about engine issues and exporting the jets with Russian engines that way it's a win win situation for Russians also
Thx

Americans be like: Come back to me!

What matters is how Pakistani nation would be like... when such a step is taken.

Makes no difference to USA
Makes HUGE difference... this would lay down the directions of relations for days to come.
Can US afford loosing Pakistan as an ally? Answer is NO.

chouhdry Nisar talked about some high profile intelligence report on sovereignty of our country. only 5 people know about it.
its clear , who the culprit is.

Americans also got hint of it... that's what lead Trump to proactively consolidate with allegations followed by geared up Indian rhetoric.

Name an alternative to the F-16.
There is non, bit we can do without it.

What do you mean by "Could"?Pakistan should do it.F16 lovers can go to hell...
This one is cruel...

It is pakistan's prime fighter.:coffee:
And we still have it.

The thing is if Pakistan has any kind of leverage over US its over the NATO supply route.
That's leverage enough... if excercised!

An alternative view with "food for thought". Turkey has been fighting proxy mercenary terrorists, collected from all over the world and access to unlimited funds/support etc. having the safest sanctuaries all across the borders, with F16s/Herons/M1xx etc. for the last 40 years. But, with little success!!! But, only when they started to use F16s with indigenous pods, bombs etc. along with 100% locally designed and manufactured tactical drones, missiles, howitzers, guns, radars etc. they're having great successes, especially in the last 2 years....

You nailed it bro.

F16 fleet with araams is the ONLY THING stopping total air supremacy of over 250 su30mki
They are better than SU-30 even without AMRAAMS. IAF figured it out in red flag.

YOUR THUNDERS are excellent for replacimg chinease F7/PG/P but the cuttimg EDGE OF PAF has to be USA F16 until J31 IS aviailable in post 2025
cutting edge like what.... please state in quantifiable terms?

As I understand there is no proposal to sale any aircraft to Pakistan. I did not heard any news around this. So this is all very hypothetical saying whenever you plan to sell at that time we might not buy etc etc.

If PAF had shown interest in J-10, they could have brought over a couple or few J10 over and tested them in ops in FATA for ground strike missions just like Z-10.
Some folks in love with these birds and PAF during Mushaf Ali Meer did showed interest but after that romeos got the holds of key positions.

We should have gotten some of those J-10bs.

Oh well there is always the J-31s.

US’s Hardline Approach Against Pakistan Could Backfire. Pakistan Could Drop US as Supplier of Military Aircraft for PAF
LONDON – PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has warned the US that it risks fuelling terrorism in the region and undermining military efforts in Afghanistan if the Trump administration follows through with a threat to downgrade its relationship with Islamabad, Financial Times reported. The prime minister told Financial Times in an earlier interview that the US’s hardline approach against Pakistan could backfire.

Just days after the Financial Times revealed that the US was considering stripping Pakistan of its status as an ally because of a perceived failure to tackle terrorism, Abbasi said the hardline approach risked backfiring. He also hinted that Islamabad could drop the US as a supplier of military aircraft. He did not however go into details as to what other measures Islamabad could take.

But Financial Times quoted a source close to the Pakistani army as saying: “We could make it harder for the US to use supply routes through Pakistan to serve its troops in Afghanistan, and we could stop co-operating on drone attacks. That would make the war in Afghanistan a lot more difficult.” Abbasi also told the Financial Times that US President Donald Trump’s new war strategy for Afghanistan and the region was “confusing” and that he had to rely on media reports to find out what Trump’s plans were.

“The signals we get from Washington are confusing, but our message is very clear: we are committed to fighting terror and we will continue to fight terror,” Abbasi told the Financial Times. “All it will do [if the US downgrades Pakistan as an ally] is degrade our efforts to fight terror, and I am not sure if that will work for the US,” he said.

first of all why people love F-16s in Pakistan? .... answer is our current generation are watching it in Pakistani colours since their childhood, from 80s till today, in national songs and on TV shows the only plane which was everywhere was F-16 so.
second thing .... pakistan faced US sanctions many time yet they are able to manage their F-16 fleet well.. why not once more????
in anycase next year JF-17 block 3 will be on assembly lines which is as potent as any other adversary around. but out of all this mess what makes me happy is that now Pakistan has knowledge base this is something which is not discussed in this forum (at least in did't noticed it here)
