Pakistan could drop US as supplier of military Aircraft for PAF

No---and neither the Typhoon---either a JH7 or SU34 or a J16---. I don't understand why would you bring in an F15---isn't it high time to accept that the american aircraft are not in the market---.

In the presence of a 5th gen---what is the utility of the eurofighter?

You need legs---Pakistan has a unique geography as related to its enemy---.

A strike taking off from its farthest most end of its coastline line gives it a unique attack perspective that can have the enemy in a severe desperate position.

It primarily needs an aircraft than can fly deep and carry two large AShM or ASM's at the minimum---.

You kids just throw out big names---you need to look deeper into the design and utility of the aircraft---it is not a matter of show and pomp---.

Work horses are no agile beautiful creatures---but large muscular---brutal and functional in utility.

I meant as a class of an aircraft. If Su-34 didn't break down so easily then that would be a great choice if it was ever available for export. Don't know about JH-7 and J-16 as Chinese aircraft requires tons of spares......F-7s and F-6s alone needed around 150-200 engines per squadron for overhauls. You want 5th gen....first get used to 4th gen. And you old men keep getting blinded by old mistakes rather than checking out the best intersection of research, availability and cost...

It is not a matter of getting used to---you have to learn to master the 4th---the 4.5 and the 5th gen aircraft in the same stride---.

When you have a military---a war machine---and the only weapon that is available is the one that breaks down---then that is your only bet---get it and make it better so that it does not break down as often---.

F-16's are and will always be welcomed by paf as they have infrastructure in place to operate it and integrated weapons too..but with ups and down in relations with USA its hard that we get anymore new or old f-16's . as per top brass of paf they need another 4/4+ generation fighter and they are looking to China and Russia .. I hope paf try to get su35 but its highly unlikely more feasible option is Chinese j-series .

My guess is..
its not hard to get new, its hard to get used or the ones with latest configuration which US is pitching to india, which means until india ejects it we will not have acess to it

They are not cost effective unless in latest configuration, or unless used MLUs one which we dont have access(or dont want to buy)

Its realy not hard its all about money .Trump used to tweet Qatar links with terrorists .Then within week he sold Qatar 12 Billion F15 s .For Pakistan same rule india will not buy F16 i feel it will Pakistan again to rescue LM.

US has not sold any military aircraft to Pakistan for a long time so what is the point is asking the question? Pakistan is buying aircraft from china or russia but in Russia Indian lobby is strong. Pakistan may go to Europe but they too have a strong alliance with India and their planes are very costly. So natural choice remains with Pakistan is china only. Pakistan may buy new chinese planes if they fit into Pakistan's requirement otherwise upgrading JF 17 plan is not bad.

It's not a bad thing, no western countries allow weapon export to China and we just went ahead and made them by oursleves, and now we are fast catching up and becomes the third biggest arms exporter while Indian enjoys preferential weapon purchase deals from both the west and Russia and now ended up as the world biggest arms importer who can not make anything on its own.
