i met with some old friends and explored Cairo a little bit. The people treated me very well, as they always do. Egyptians are very loyal friends.

I hope to see increased cooperation between Pakistan and Egypt, especially in fields beyond defence and textiles.

It was my second trip to Egypt so i was very familiar with the location. The purpose of my visit was for work. We are doing a sovereign credit risk analysis of Egyptian economy -- in the post-Revolution period. People were a bit more on edge this time - of course given that there are fewer police present and visible, the crime has gone up. There is a sense of political uncertainty and questions being asked --but based on my meetings I have a good sense that in the long run, there will be a good future for the country. I met with members of the Muslim Brotherhood (Freedom & Justice Party); met a few of the ministers and assistants of ministers for Finance, Industry, Trade, etc. and I have a good sense that FJP will try to enact certain reforms that are pro-people while still being pro-business. There are several key economic issues that need to be addressed, such as fuel subsidies; formalizing informal sector etc.

It is just that some of the attitude you get from some Egyptians. the (We are the best and you guys are dumb) attitude. For instance when we sent our first 100% made satellites Egyptians starting trolling along the line of (Egyptians with all its greatness hasn't done this and "You" did it?? What a load of crap". Or when we made our cars Egyptians had the same attitude. It was really sad seeing the forum fight.

How do you say that ? Egyptians loves all Muslims, and you guys are the closest ones to our heart. We accepted Islam, took your names(My name is Omar btw), every Egyptian goes to Mecca and Media atleast once in his life time, we just love Saudi Arabia, and its people. I persoanlly don't like some of your leaders policies(not all of it). but i didn't like Mubarak's policies either. It doesn't mean i don't like Egypt. One last thing, i don't represent Egypt, or its majority matter of fact. If you haven't noticed thu, i always call for an Arab unity, we should have one army, manufacture weapons, cars, ect... together. You guys are the heart and the sould of the Muslim world. Don't you think how proud am i that your army is getting stronger ? I know as you know, at no matter how close or far our foreign policies are, in any conflict with ANYBODY we will support eachother.

We grew up watching Egyptian plays and movies, Our older generation was taught by Egyptian teachers and now Egyptian doctors are teaching us in Universities. I am sure every single Saudi has hugged an Egyptian sometime in his life. Even though sadfuly I think the feelings are not very mutual.

I know man, you guys are brothers, sisters, uncles. We always count on you. It is just crazy, everytime things calm down, and gets more stable, something crazy happens. Its just sad!!

I am crying right now over what is happening. I have always loved Egypt but I never knew I loved it that much. No wonder we call it our second homeland here.

I have been to Cairo and Alexandria. Both are beautiful cities with nice people. I would really want Egypt t return to its former glory. My Egyptian friends all live in Egypt and are engineers. One of them have his own company. They are rly religious and warm people, so nice hospitality.
